Lee’s offers good down home diner food, it’s not fancy, but it’s filling and tastes good.
They have ample parking both covered and not, but beware they are popular locally so they always have a brisk business filled with patrons. Dining is booth or table, old diner style. Service staff are young, but helpful and attentive.
This round we ordered take out. I got my favorite Lee’s dish, Catfish (fried) Lousianne (aka catfish topped with crawfish etouffee = YUM!) As always they did an excellent job, there was plenty of etouffee (I ended up w/leftovers so 2 meals out of this generous serving), plus it came with a side of sweet corn and a salad, and a piece of garlic buttered bread. 10 out of 10 in my book.
The other diner got their Smothered Pork chops with two (2) sides (rice+gravy and loaded mashed potato). This entree was also Excellent (rated by someone who is picky about Pork chops) 10 out of 10 Beaware They have two (2) different Pork chop plates. One only comes with red beans (and I presume rice) and the other (this one) comes with two (2) sides of your choice, so verify which one you are getting if you qorder via phone...
Read moreThe food is pretty good, but nothing exceptional. My low review is due to the amount of tables they have squeezed into such a small space. We've eaten here twice and both times had the misfortune to be seated directly in front of the door and getting blasted with cold air every two minutes. In addition to that, the people waiting for tables behind us were standing right up against our table. Even more uncomfortable is the way the tables have just a few inches between them. Both times we've also basically dined with strangers. At least it feel that way since we're sitting so close to each other. Today, my 13 year old son got to hear a man tell his companion how he wanted to "stick his d*ck in the waitresses a$$." Awesome. I don't expect the restaurant to screen the guests, but if we weren't stuck so close together maybe we could have avoided having my child exposed to a douchebag. Either expand the building (an entry way would be exceptionally helpful), or take a few tables out. This building simply can't accommodate the amount of people they're trying to...
Read moreI used to like this place but I'm NEVER ordering to-go again. My family and I ordered what we thought would be a good meal but it turned out to be worst than fast food. $5 for 5 onion rings?! My Patty Melt was a non existent melt as in the cheese that's supposed to be there wasn't! It was an onion burger without exaggeration. All the onions that were supposed to be in my onion rings order I guess ended up on my "burger".
Sweet potato fries? Forget it, tasted absolutely flavorless to where I was shocked how something could lack that much flavor. The kids meal is $8.99 and we got 2 tenders with fries.. Readers can you understand why this is $8.99 based on the picture? We would've been better off going to freakin McDonald's or damned Wendy's for what we got and the quality. When you pay higher prices you expect higher quality and you too would be pissed if you were hungry and got all this crap for almost $50. Pretty much hate this place when I once really liked it,...
