This was my very first time trying this place, and although I'm a Mississippi native who stopped here on the way back let me just say CA C'EST BON!!😍😋 We liked the style of the restaurant's interior; it kind of reminded us of Zaxby's. Our server was excellent from start to finish; he gave us great recommendations and waited on us with a good compassionate attitude making sure we got everything we needed. They give you a good amount of food for decent prices. My mom and dad got the catfish & shrimp platter and catfish platter and they both enjoyed their meals. I even tried some of their catfish and it was fresh, flavorful, and crispy. The fries were great too!! I got the Gulf Shrimp Poboy with hook sauce (remoulade) instead of mayo with red beans & rice as a side and raspberry lemonade, and once again let me just say in the words of my favorite Cajun chef on YouTube "That's money dood!!!"👍🏼😍😋 The poboy was awesome; the shrimp had a good flavor/seasoning in it, it was crispy, and it had just the right amount of batter on it.🍤The red beans & rice were rich, creamy, and flavorful😋 and I like their raspberry lemonade. I considered getting some of their bread pudding for dessert, but I didn't wanna break the bank too much this time lol. Maybe I'll try it next time because I love bread pudding. The restrooms are nice and clean, too. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and we will definitely be back!

First time at Off the Hook! We arrived as the lunch rush began and there was a short wait at the order counter inside. Giving the order, getting it input, and paying was a little slow but just seemed like new employee / store struggles. No big deal there. Drink machine was down and seemed to be nearly out of ice but we managed to get through it and grab some sweet tea (I'm not a tea fanatic, tasted fine to me thoug). Food came out and was brought to our table in under 10 minutes. I had a shrimp and fish platter and ordered some fried green beans and the bread pudding to try. Fries were not hot but despite that stayed crispy and were still enjoyable enough. Shrimp and fish were nothing 'special' but totally acceptable with crispy batter and not over or undercooked inside. Fried green beans were crispy and even the green bean inside had a light crunch, not mushy. Hook Sauce was good - I'd definitely get that every time. Tangy with a light kick. Bread pudding was again, not a rave item but I liked it. Nice sweet treat that could really only be improved with some additional browning on the pieces or maybe a touch of additional sauce. Left pretty happy with the visit. Overall I think it's a good stop if you are feeling some fish or shrimp and don't want to sit down for it somewhere. The minor issues experienced seem to be grand opening bumps. We'll be back.

I decided to try Off the Hook 5/2/24 because their food looked good online and in some of the reviews here from a few months ago I was extremely disappointed by both the size of the platter and quantity of food I received for almost $17,what I received was nothing like the pictures here There was bout a half a handful of medium sized gulf shrimp in the "platter" (4) 4 inch pieces of fish about the size of a chicken tender,a handful of fries and 3 hushpuppies The food tasted okay, not the best seafood I've had, probably not the worst, but for the money I paid,I expect to get full, there's plenty of places around here selling full size boxes, with full sized filets and at least large sized shrimp for the same money or less I've attached a couple pictures of what I'm talking about minus the shrimp

Alyssa was the cashier when I placed my order. I guess in the background it was loud and she couldn’t hear me when I was mentioning about my military discount and loyalty program for my points. So I decided to mention it to her when I got to the window to pay for my food. As I was talking to her, she had the headphone on so I wasn’t sure if she was listening to me or listening to somebody else so I asked, “are you talking to me or you talking to somebody else?”, Then, all of a sudden she got frustrated and she took her headphone off and said, “ I was listening to you!” Then she walked off and she said somebody take this customer. Her aggressive behavior and unprofessional attitude alarmed me. It was Charlene who completed my order and took care of me. Because this young lady was so rude I asked for the manager. Unfortunately, the manager was not prepared for what happened. I told her Alyssa needs to work on her customer service skills or quit. The manager only said Yes ma’am…nothing else. She didn’t even complete my order. However, Charlene did the job of both Alyssa and the evening manager. She was calm, professional, and apologized for what happened. She ensured I received the correct order, applied both military discount and loyalty number to my order.

As for Alyssa, if you can’t handle a fast paced business like Off the Hook, I highly recommend you quit because you’re the type of worker that will cause customers to never come back to this restaurant. Aggressive behavior and unprofessional attitude towards customers is unacceptable.

Evening Manager, you need to step down and learn from season leaders.

It took 10 minutes before I got my order because of the...

Very, very TINY PORTION SIZES and a complete waste of our money spending an average between $50 to $75 for their "HALF EMPTY CONTAINERS." OFF-the-HOOK manager in Hammond, Louisiana told me yesterday that THEY RECENTLY CHANGED THE PORTION SIZES AGAIN ...and I ASKED HER then have y'all also lowered your prices to reflect that change in portions, and her answer was no. So I handed her back 1 Fish & Shrimp Platter, 1 Shrimp Platter, 3 extra side orders of fried shrimp, 2 extra separate orders of Hush Puppies, 3 glass bottles of Root Beer, mashed potatoes, etc.... I told the manager they need to PLACE SIGN's out and on the drive thru menu so that CUSTOMER's are being informed of the tiny portions changes she said they recently done. I showed her they also over charged me. She voided my order and told me the $50 will not show up at my bank and gave me the receipt. I stated that I/my family are permanently ending our business as a customers with Off the Hook due to the multiples times they keep telling me that they are again DOWNSIZING their portion sizes and due to their higher prices that we will not waste another time because Off the Hook is being greedy and this is not fair to ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! I told her that I am stating facts so they maybe at the least it will help other customers in the future. (((( THEN....I drove to APPLEBEE'S and we ordered 2 WHOLE RACKS of DOUBLE GLAZED BABY BACK RIBS AND SIDE ORDERS OF GARLIC POTATOES, etc... and their portion sizes were larger and very generous and THEIR RIBS ARE TO DIE FOR!!! YUMMY and we received more food at APPLEBEE'S than Off the HOOK gives.

((( QUALITY & QUANTITY @...

My church group recently had the pleasure of dining at Off the Hook Restaurant, and it was an experience worth raving about. From start to finish, the evening was a culinary delight coupled with impeccable service.

We began our meal with a cup of sausage gumbo as an appetizer, which was a fantastic way to kick off the evening. The gumbo was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, setting high expectations for the rest of the meal.

For the main course, we enjoyed a variety of dishes, including catfish, shrimp, and chicken wraps, all of which were cooked to perfection. The catfish was crispy and tender, the shrimp were succulent and fresh, and the chicken wraps were both hearty and delicious. The red beans and rice were a perfect accompaniment, adding a touch of comfort food to our spread. Each dish was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and taste.

The service was nothing short of excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Special thanks to Sharlene and Darryl, whose exceptional customer service made our meeting not only successful but also incredibly enjoyable. Their warm hospitality and professionalism truly enhanced our dining experience.

Overall, Off the Hook Restaurant provided us with an unforgettable evening of great food and outstanding service. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable...
