Winn-Dixie — Local services in Hammond

I ordered a total of 4 platters for catering my graduation party. 3 in the deli, and 1 in produce. The fruit tray I ordered was filled with perfectly ripe and well-cut fresh fruit, and was wonderful! I also ordered a Cheese Sampler and Mediterranean Delight platter which were prepared super precisely and diligently.

The chicken tender platter was finished right as I went to pick up the order for optimal freshness, and I really appreciate being able to bring fresh tenders to my party, rather than stale ones. The portions were plenty and the quality of everything was superb.

Everything was a hit with my guests and I will be sure to come back to this store for my catering needs. The price was very affordable (4 large trays cost right at $130), and it certainly beat trying to maintain restaurant reservations. The staff I interacted with in placing my order and picking up were nothing but kind, courteous, and very proficient. Kudos to them, and thanks for the great service! Ordered a cake Fri to pick up Mon. morning for birthday from bakery. The worker was very curt (rude in my opinion) like I was an annoyance to assist. I was told I it would be trimmed with red roses and cost 14 something. I was waited by the same lady when I went to pick up my cake and she again acted like I was an inconvenience to her. When I inquired about the cake not having roses or any trim she told me that the lady who does it called in sick and that she couldn't do it because it would look bad. Well then why do you work in this Dept. I thought. I just took the cake and went to the cashier. The sticker said $15.99 before tax - so I had to pay more than quoted for less than I ordered! Had to get to work so I didn't bother with a complaint but I won't go back to...

I went into this Hammond Winn Dixie last night about 7pm, on Dec. 6,2017. Went in to get items for soup. I stopped at the bakery and met "Ashley". This young lady has a very welcoming personality and smile. I ended up ordering 24 cupcakes for my son's class, since it would be his birthday that Tuesday. It was a truly refreshing experience to have someone take their time out for you, in such a way, that you are now smiling through out your shopping experience in a grocery store.
