Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Hammond

Love their "Boom Box" special, but hate that the Sprite! ALWAYS seems to taste like I'm drinking a cardboard box. Yuck! And the Dr. Pepper taste like Mr. Pibbs. Most of the time I go to this location is for a drink and I don't even do that now. I go for a quick bite to eat and hope that my food is hot and I can get a drink that is supposed to taste like it should. I've made several comments to the carhops and managers here and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Somebody seriously needs to investigate why the drinks here taste so bad. Even my wife refuses to get drinks from Sonic in general because of it. She used to ask me to get her something to drink on a daily basis and now she tells me "Don't go to a Sonic" for my drink. We have found this to be true at all the locations in Tangipahoa area. I hope that this reaches somebody that can make a difference in the way the drinks taste. I used to love patroning at Sonic and now...

Today my boyfriend went to this location to pickup lunch for us. He pressed the red button, waited patiently for about 10 minutes and never heard from any representatives. The screen displayed the greeting and acknowledgement message. Then after 10 minutes, the screen reset and no longer showed he pressed the button at all. He once again activated the button and ordered our food.

2. Reese's Blasted Shake
3. Small Tater Tots
4. Large Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
5. Large Sweet Tea

The popcorn chicken was enormously sized (more the size of tenders) and cooked so thoroughly the chicken resembled cardboard. The restaurant no longer had cups of any size other than the largest (Route 66) and the child sized ice cream cup. The Sweet Tea was mostly water with a dash of tea.

To be totally honest with you the hamburger was great but I'm allergic to tomatoes and it was New Year's Eve about 9:30 I don't know if they were rushing to close at 10:00 but I couldn't bring the burger back because once we started home and I opened up mines I had two lovely tomatoes on it unfortunately I was hungry so what I did was I took the two tomatoes off of it and I got two paper towels and wiped it off completely I didn't want to see any seeds or anything on there because it is detrimental to me but I love Sonic but this particular time shopping and coming out of New Orleans I live here in Hammond and I just wanted to eat...
