Wingstop — Restaurant in Hammond

Edit: It's been over a year and we finally went back. My wife was very hesitant so she actually didn't order anything. She now wishes she had because the wings were exactly what I was expecting! They tasted like wings and the new orange sauce was delicious! Crew was friendly and welcoming this time around as well. Glad to not have the same experience that I did when they first opened! Thank you!

Ordered take-out. Picked up about 5 minutes after quoted time (after 9pm). Wings were meaty, I'll give them that. But had a fishy taste to them which I found odd. The lemon pepper is pretty tasty though.. Fries were very old and cold. I ended up heating them up in my oven at home and that still didn't do the trick. Ended up tossing them. Only ate 6 of my 10 wings simply because I couldn't get past the odd taste of fish or whatever it was.

Service was not to be desired. Not bad, just not welcoming. 2 employees sitting on benches when I walked in. I don’t mind down time at work, but not a good look when your cooks are sitting in the lobby area.

Overall, not impressed. Really disappointing because I wanted this to be really good for me and my wife to continue going. Unfortunately, we will still go with other options in town since this is pretty low on...

I am not usually one to complain being that I have worked in the Restaurant Business myself (Newks Hattiesburg 2 yrs). My girlfriend and I drove (after work) from Baton Rouge, LA to Hammond, LA to get something from the Best Buy had in stock there. We decided to eat at Wingstop since they have pretty good wings. We finished ordering at 7:35 is what my receipt says (still have it). They were decently busy maybe like 5 orders ahead of my 21 wings and 1 order of fries.... My girlfriend and I are like alright it might be 20-25 mins before we get our food, thats alright we really wanted our wings. 40 MINUTES later they tell me my wings are waiting on fries... Fries do not take but 3-4 minutes to fry... it took 2 minutes to fry at Zaxbys... within 2 minutes one of the guys tells me it wont be but another 20 secs the fries are coming out... 8 MINUTES after that they finally told me that my order was ready... After 50 MINUTES of waiting for 21 wings and 1 order of fries our wings were cold af. At 8:26 PM we were finally able to eat. A plethora of issues: Ants throughout the building and other guests were having to walk outside to knock them off of their clothes, took over an hour for everyone to get their orders and they still were not right most of the time (22 customers inside the building as well all just having to wait when some had their orders done and bagged but no one called their names to get the bag from the counter), multiple other customers and I watched three separate employees prepare and check food with no gloves on (especially one young lady who visibly wiped her face then hand fed the fries into the fryer), then once orders were correct the front counter lady had us sign off that we were taking them just for multiple people to be let go without paying while others were repeatedly requested to show that they had actually paid, no one answered the phone for over twenty minutes at one point despite continued ringing, and when I requested a refund I was told to JUST WAIT because they just finally dropped my order to cook 45 minutes after it was supposed to be done.
