Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Hammonton

Horrible experience 2 years in a row. We we're in town for soccer tournament, again. Only place near by to eat so we went again, even though last time we had to wait 1 hour plus for our meal and almost missed our game. And most of the order was wrong. So this time we are first people there. Called and spoke to manager who was very nice and he opened door 15 min. early for us to get out of heat. Literally the first tables sat at 11 am. We just left there place after waiting 1.5 hours. Watched other teams enter sit eat and leave and we still did not get food. We ordered, salads, burgers only. When we ask, got attitude, no apologies, nothing off bill, nothing. Half food arrived cold and one was missing and many were wrong. I will honestly drive to another town next tournament, and we will be back. We have games here next weekend for my other child. Horrible and ridiculous....

What can I say? It’s Applebee’s. It’s a chain restaurant. Everything from the service to the food depends on who is working that night. I find that restaurants run by private entities seem to take more pride in their creations and are more invested in your dining experience. It’s fine for a get together after say, bowling night, but if you’re looking for something special, dig deeper. Also, I used to love their Blondie Sundaes, but the past few times I’ve ordered them over an equal number years, the flavor is flat. If I’m going to indulge in a caloric free-for-all, the treat should be memorable like they were in the past—a burnt brownie with eighty percent of the ice cream melted and scant sauce isn’t my idea of a treat. ...

Quite impressed with this one. We were greeted immediately. And sat at a table. Our waitress was on the button with timing and our drinks were fast to arrive. After a short chat with the wife about how tiny the building was compared to other applebees,that didn't take away the fact that it was one of the cleanest ones we've seen. Food came out quickly and it was incredible. I tried the French roast dip sandwich and was blown away. This dinner didn't feel like a typical applevees visit. It felt much more personal. Our waitress was kind but not overly checking up on us. The food was great. Atmosphere was great. It kind of makes me sad to know this particular applebess is over 3p miles...
