We were hesitant to try out a chain Mexican restaurant since we have a favorite local spot just up the road. However, we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant was packed for a Friday night, but we waited less than 15 minutes for a table for two. There was a huge party that took up most of the tables in the back of the restaurant. Due to this setup, the space to walk in between tables was super tight and hard to navigate.
Chips, salsa, and some sort of creamy cheese dip were placed on the table as we sat down. The chips were nice and hot. The salsa is not my favorite, but the cheesy dip was okay. It was like a watered down queso dip. We chose to start with tableside guacamole and super queso to have something to eat with the chips. The tableside Guac is expensive ($15) but you customize what you want added to it (cilantro, onions, jalapeño, tomatoes) and the spice level (mild, medium, hot). We went for no cilantro and mild spice and it was fantastic. Bring cash to tip the person who makes it! The queso dip was a great app - it had shrimp, chicken, and steak in the same kind of creamy cheese dip sauce that came on a sizzling fajita plate. It came with soft flour tortillas as well. We would definitely get both again.
We got the Al pastor tacos (pork) and the seafood enchiladas for our entrees. The portion sizes were great for the most part, although the tacos were mostly pineapple and onions and cilantro with a little bit of pork. They were tasty though. The seafood enchiladas were good and full of shrimp. I do wish the entrees came out as hot as the queso and chips did. The rice and beans on the side plate were especially cool in temperature, unfortunately.
We got fried ice cream ($10) as a dessert and it was good. I’m used to the fried ice cream coming out hot on the outside, since that’s how the restaurants did it in my hometown, but that doesn’t seem to be the norm anywhere else.
The service was amazing. We weren’t expecting much when we saw how busy it was inside, but our server was incredible. She kept our drinks constantly full, was so prompt with bringing more chips for our guacamole and queso, and checking in on us. The prices are a little high, but the food was worth it for the most part....
Read moreay Hello to the newest Mexican returant in the neighborhood. After just opening this week we usually let a place settle in before we tried it but went in today after being open less than a week and we were far from being disappointed. The resturant has been completely changed and doesn't even resemble the prior resturant styling. We were greeted by friendly staff that immediately had chips and salsa and a wonderful Aioli that was quite a hit at our table. We were given menus while our server took our drink order. He returned promptly and we placed our orders. I ordered fajita burritos, wife selected shrimp fajitas Nd mother in law selected a mixed fajita. We talked and enjoyed our chips and I finished half of my iced tea and my server already came back with another full glass without asking (a huge point earner in my book) Our meals arrived so fast it surprised us that it was our meals already! Our plates were huge! Thr fajitas come out onnthe screaming hot skillet and then plate of rice, beans and pico my burritos came with 2 nice sized burritos covered with cheese sauce and well cooked steak inside. The flavors are excellent a mild heat but not overbearing. Several staff including the manager checked on us during our meal and made sure to refill drinks before they were close to empty. Overall this place is one of our 2 go to mexican places in the area, no more need to cross the river for a good casual mexican meal When it came time to pay I was pleasantly surprised, the price for 3 was around the same as other resturants in the area for 2, and more food! We will gladly...

We came at a good time - not too busy.
It’s hard to start a new restaurant - so I’m going to be back several times … you have to find that one dish you crave to want to come back…
Loved the chicken n cheese empanadas - everything fresh!! Muy bueno!
Plz ditch the white sauce w chips - after finding out ingredients I’m wondering what else was made like that — mixture of mayo and salad dressing + spice is not appetizing… again wait staff was kind to let me know how it was made.
I ordered tamales but they did not have them - these are a favorite choice since they have to be freshly made to be any good.
I’m a health nut now and live for fresh ingredients especially when at a restaurant… don’t just Mass produce the food … make it …
Would love to see fresh masa torts. I would come here forever if u all made crunchy chille rellenos w chicken or beef w cheese…
I didn’t try enchiladas … next time!
It’s hard to please a Texan who grew up w the best Mexican food - fresh flour torts … fresh tamales … roasted corn … great sauces for each dish - the carnitas were very dry - I had to add the red sauce that came w chips and asked for cheese so I could swallow them down.
Good luck to this restaurant- we need u in...
