McDonald's — Restaurant in Hampton Township

I feel compelled to share this story because it stuck out to me. My girlfriend swears it was some sort of sign... i think maybe a nice man named Tom came along just at the moment I needed him to. He acted like an old friend and just seemed happy to meet us. A little backstory One week ago, i found one of my best friends/roommate dead in his bed. He was an older man of 62 years. My good buddy Warren. I was there today at the drive-thru with my girlfriend and her 2 children . We ordered some hash browns and a couoke breakfast sandwiches. We were told that the hash browns would take a moment and asked to pull around and wait. A few minutes later, an older gentleman approached my window with a bag and began to tell me a story about how my back bunoer reminded him of a Chrysler sebring he had a few years back. My bumper is smashed in. He proceeded to tell me about howbhe was rear ended and his trunk was smashed in. He said he had to pry it open because his goof clubs were in there and they were more important than the car itself... which he loved. That reminded me of Warren and it made me smile to be reminded of him by a stranger. He then introduced himself and shook my hand, asked my name, and told me his. He introduced himself to my girlfriend and commented on her unique name. Then moved on to the back window where her 4 year old son sat. I rolled the window down and he shook her sons hand, asked his name, and told him his. Then he said hello to her toddler and waved. He made sure he greeted everyone in the car and had such a nice, warm smile that he was more than happy to share with us. His name was Tom. The way he greeted us, told a story, and the way he treated us reminded me of someone very close to me... my good buddy Warren. Even the way he spoke about his golf clubs. Id be willing to bet that Tom loves the Detroit Tigers too. The point is this, i was reminded of a dear friend by a complete stranger and it brought a much needed smile to my face and for the first time in the past week, the world didnt feel so empty. Thanks to Tom, I was able to enjoy an actual happy meal and look uo to the sky wondering if Warren was smiling down. Ive never been more satisfied with a visit to any restaurant anywhere in my entire life. Thats why i gave 5 stars. If youre out there Tom, i want to say thank you. From a heartbroken friend who needed to hear that story, shake that hand, and needed someone like you to share a smile. If anyone sees this and you know Tom, please show him this. He needs to know what kind of impact people like him have. That brief encounter made my day and maybe even helped me heal just a little. The world needs more Toms and Warrens. Thanks...

Good food, good service, and a nice play area for the kids. I wouldn't mind prices coming down just a little, but you can do okay if you try.

Edit: I had this as 5 stars a couple of years ago, but I had to change this to 3. Today, I waited over 15 minutes for a simple curbside order of a large shake and large McCafe smoothie. I eventually walked in. The employee was friendly enough, but she handed me 2 half-melted products that were likely made a while ago and were just sitting there forgotten. This sort of stuff has been happening more often in recent months. (2021-10-10T10:55:45 Order:1931)

Edit: Just a week later and they made an error in our favor. They made extra McFlurries and gave it to us. So, I had to bump them up to 4 stars now as intentionally or unintentionally they basically made up for last time.

Edit: Back down to 3 stars. Really slow drive thru. Posted picture of person who was clearly behind me and then drove around and wedged in front of me. Jerk. I had 2 babies in the back seat. Why does this guy feel he's more important? Call the number on his truck and ask. Thanks!

Edit: 2 stars. Had a simple order of basically fries (#1997). After approaching 20 minutes I assumed we were forgotten. Seems to be the case. With 2 toddlers...

So. first of I would like to say I work with coupons so I understand limitations. Here we go. I ordered a Quarter pounder with cheese on the app with the 1 dollar sandwich coupon and I customized it (extra cheese and an extra Patty) I get to the mcdonald's pay the amount the app said and waited for my order. I waited for around 5 min for my sandwich to come out and was greeted with what looked like a manager. I was then told that I was not allowed to customize the burger but I could order a patty on the side. I said no Its ok ill just get the regular burger. so I was given my food and I left because there was a huge line behind me. it was not untill i got home that I realized they have not given me the money from the extra items I did not get on my sandwich, I also realized that they actually have done this before to me but without telling me that i could not do it. so they just gave me the normal burger and kept the extra money from that one also. I would not care at all if they would have given me my money from the extras back. I was also informed from another McDonalds that the coupon in question does not have limitations. So they lied and stole money....
