Anthony's Seafood — Restaurant in Hampton

I love fish. When it comes to fish, I'm not one for putting worms on poles. But when it comes to polling fish, I know when there's a great catch on my line. Anthony's Seafood is one of the better fishing spots for fresh seafood dishes. Especially for folks like me who like their underwater delights served hot on a plate with sides of cole slaw, crispy french fries, and southern seasoned hush puppies. The menu was full of fins that won't be pulled from under the waves until you order. It's the frying pan and not the heat lamps for your fish filet. I couldnt stop my mouth from watering trying to decide what to eat until my drooling asked for the catfish. It could have easily been whiting or flounder, or well, I was more than satisfied with my choice. You have to come and choose your own belly filler. I got full on just the lunch time special. So on your way home from the fishing hole, stop at Anthony's Seafood and catch the one that got away back, all ready for ride home. (If the ride ain't too long). update 11/18/2024 - two years later and the food is still consistently good, they haven't gone up in price that much and you still get your food fairly quickly. The coleslaw is still over chopped in my opinion, but the flavor has gotten much better. and I just started eating pork again and tried their grilled pork Bahn mi sandwich. It was really good, the bread was soft, the meat was grilled and flavorful and plenty of pickled veggies and fresh cilantro.

My first time here I ordered three piece whiting platter. It came with Three large whiting fillets, 3 large hush puppies a large portion of fries and 4oz coleslaw. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food I received and the platter was around $11. Everything was really great and tasted fresh. My only critique is on the coleslaw as it was bland and over chopped, but Seriously everything else was great. I will most definitely be coming...

I came here while on a business trip, looking for a local place that had good seafood. I didn't find it... I found a local place that had excellent seafood, great prices, huge portions, and very good customer service! If I could give six stars I would. Everything was extremely fresh and tasty. The shrimp, flounder, and hushpuppies we're particularly good. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and everything was piping hot. I wasn't expecting such large portions so I spent $20 and got everything I wanted to try. When the food came I was very surprised at how heavy the bag was! When I looked inside there was enough food for two meals for me, and I eat about twice as much as a typical adult male. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again,...
