Oceanfront Convenience Store & Lola's Kitchen — Restaurant in Hampton

Found this place a cpl years ago...it was a day or two after labor day and the beach went from packed to ghost town overnight so mostly all of the stores were closed. It was our last day of vacation and we had been staying at the Ashworth so we asked someone where if they knew of a place that was open for breakfast sandwich/coffee and they recommended here. It was the best recommendation!! The place is clean, the people are super friendly and accommodating, everything was fresh and made to order. Even the bacon and egg was taken directly out of the package, and cooked right then and there (not like other places that basically microwave precooked eggs/bacon), my son LOVED the breakfast sandwich (and he is very picky)!! Great quality for prices you can't beat!! It also works out great that they have a variety of cold drinks to choose from and have multiple flavors hot/iced coffee to choose...its a one stop shop!! Me and my father were looking for something to have for breakfast today and he heard about this place. It’s almost like a little bodega when you walk in. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and sides. They even have chicken shawarmas, which is kinda like a wrap. If you’ve watched Shelby’s or Tahini’s on YouTube, you know what it is. We all got breakfast bagel sandwiches, sausage, ham, and bacon, egg ,and cheese, and three hash browns. We got onto the beach to eat and the man running that grill or stovetop, whatever he cookin’ on, say this with me: DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Beforehand, he gave me an option of how I wanted my bacon, crispy or medium, so I went with crispy. The crispiness of the bacon, with that egg and cheese, extremely good. The hash browns, I consider them to be slightly better than McDonald’s, haha. If you’re lookin for a breakfast spot while on the boardwalk, this is an option for ya.

So when I do these reviews I try to be as honest as possible and not let some aspects overshadow others. As for here they are the nicest people ever. They will even feed your four legged family member if they come along with you. They make you feel like you are home and as much as I loved that I can let it overshadow the fact that the floor was pretty dirty and there were flies EVERYWHERE they were landing on food and fruit and I totally understand if a couple flies get into an establishment but this was next level. We did end up getting a breakfast sandwich. The croissant was nice and toasty the cheese was melted and the eggs were good, the bacon I think was cooked in a microwave it was very rubbery and big chunks of fat were hard to choke down. I will leave it up to you if you want to go there but the hospitality can only carry...
