Panera Bread — Restaurant in Hampton

My husband and I have ordered from this Panera a few times via their website. So far we have had two issues with our orders, but both were ultimately resolved.

On one occasion, I had order a Mediterranean sandwich (which is vegetarian) and received a turkey one instead. Also, my husband’s sandwich had been made incorrectly, but they ended up delivering new sandwiches to us that were both made accurately and gave us a refund for the inconvenience.

On another occasion, we had ordered our food at 1200 and it arrived around 1245. The delivery driver had dropped it off at our door, then came back and grabbed it and asked if we were Dominique. When we said no, she drove away with the bag of food so I called Panera to ask what had happened. Upon calling, they said that she must have grabbed the wrong bag because my order was still sitting on their shelf. They told me that they would send another driver out with our order, but they never did. After an hour of waiting, I called back and was told that they would make new food for us since it had been so long. Our food arrived at 1500, but my husband’s sandwich was cold and his coffee was melted (which meant that it was very clearly the several-hour-old food). I called and requested a refund, which was given to me once the manager confirmed that they had indeed sent the old food and the new food they had just made was still sitting on their shelf.

Other than that, we haven’t had any other problems. The staff seem to be nice over the phone and we always enjoy the food from here. They are also willing to give a refund as needed which is...

Panera never disappoints! However, today, it seemed less tasty than in the past. The new Hampton location is much easier to access than the previous space located near Chic fil a. The new location is directly across the street from the previous. It is new and shiny. There's a signature Panera fireplace to try to make it feel cozy. There's plenty of seating for groups and couples or individuals. I do miss the charm the previous location had, but not so much that it changed my opinion of the food. Today, I had creamy tomato soup, which is served with croutons atop and a baguette served on the side. The soup is good, not spectacular or different than any other basic cremy tomato soup. The bowl was about half full. Tbh, it was plenty of soup. The soup was one of my Pick 2 menu items for $6.99. The second was 1/2 of a tune salad sandwich. It was ok but the bread was disappointing. It was flavorless. I was honestly hoping to be wowed by at least one of the bread I had, but today wasn't the day. I left wanting more. The sandwich and fixings were fresh but somehow didn't have a ton of flavor. And the tuna salad wasn't anything special. It wasn't bad. I just won't order it again. If I was able to put 0 stars I was definitely gonna do it cz honestly this is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been too not the worst Panera bread, every time I visit any other Panera bread I get the best customer service & best quality food this restaurant who claims they’re Panera bread they have 0 Quality food & they have no clue what customer service is, I am a regular customer I go there everyday to get the broccoli & cheddar soup first of all it doesn’t taste good as when I get it from any other Panera soup isn’t fresh and I always have to heat it up they don’t care about how there food taste like the other Panera bread restaurants , I went today after work to get my soup the soup is slightly over half of the cup filled usually when I get it it’s filled to the top the prices goes up everyday on the soup and they put less. Amount in bowl that’s not fair so I went back in and I was talking to one of the employees she was soo rude and she throw the spoon on the floor and she called her manager surprisingly the manager didn’t even wanna listen to the issue at this point I knew they lack training big time I highly never recommend to anyone looking for good quality food or good restaurant to go there I need someone to call me from Panera bread...
