Usually I go to Domoishi for my poke bowls but today I decided to try a new place out and that’s when I came across Poke surf. Prior to going there I looked up prices and reviews and everything seemed to check out. When I got there I walked in and said hello to the woman in the front and she said nothing back. I found that to be a little rude considering the amount of respect I get at domoishi but I decided to look past that. So I looked at the menu and I seen they had octopus, so I said excuse me and she looked up at me and rolled her eyes. I then asked about the octopus and she said they don’t have octopus which was weird because it was still on the menu. So then I proceeded to go over to the menu and circle what I wanted because that’s how they do it there and I handed it to her. I then got my food and tea and exited the restaurant. I ordered two bowls and two drinks and my strawberry lemonade honestly wasn’t that good to the point where I didn’t want to drink it because it was very bitter and had a Grady taste. Then my fiancé tried her food which was the (Hawaiian sunset) and she was enjoying it until she found a hair. There was hair on her mango and I also had mango in mine but it disgusted me enough to not eat my food and she definitely didn’t eat hers after that. We called the store back and they gave me a run around about getting my money back and stated they’d make me a new bowl even though I told them I wasn’t too happy so I wouldn’t get another bowl and wouldn’t be coming back. The girl said I’d have to bring the bowl back but I live 30 mins away and had somewhere to be. I then told her I took a picture of the bowl and she said “I’ll call you back” and hung up on me. We have yet to hear from her and I’m highly disappointed. I should’ve stuck with my original place and went to domoishi. If anybody goes here I hope your experience isn’t as...
Read moreGood food for a grab and go, sort of. I walked in and stood there by the counter for a few minutes waiting for the employee to say something like "hey, how can I help you?" Or even "what can I get you?" Instead, I stood after the employee looked up briefly from her phone after I walked in, and then she went right back to playing on her phone while I stood there for 5 minutes waiting like an idiot. When she finally looked up again, she didn't say anything until I asked a question about the bowls. She seemed annoyed through the whole interaction and any questions I had to ask. I get that there was no one else I the store with her, let alone any other customers in the seating area, but put the phone away when someone comes in. Don't ignore them. You chose this profession. You get paid to do this. After she took my order, another customer came in and placed his order. She proceeded to make his order first. Why, I don't know, but hey, I don't work there and don't know the procedures there. It was just frustrating to see.
Regardless of that interaction though, the food was excellent. Really loved the fried plantains. And the fajita bowl was delicious. It wasn't greasy and overbearing, but light almost. The cucumbers balanced everything perfectly, the rice was moist and perfectly soft and sticky. I definitely recommend the food, but not so much the staff that plays on their phones and...

I ordered online but when you go in a lot of people don’t take the time to see the menus and pens to order from. I had the Make Your Own Ramen, the ingredients and food was fresh, hot, ready, and delicious! I ordered completely different from the usual bc of pregnancy tastes and I’m so so glad I loaded up on toppings (yummy oshinko 🥢) 10/10. Same awesome staff!!!
Love the boba, teas, and poke bowls!! I’ve been coming here the last three weeks honestly and everytime it just hits the spot. Extremely kind staff and fast...
