I showed up at this place last night leaving Wally's after having a prime rib dinner. (8:15 pm) I went into the pier I sat down at the bar was greeted by the bartender very nice and she was busy so I waited patiently for my drink after she said , I will be right with you, I said okay no problem... to my surprise 5 minutes later I had the bouncer approach me and say you have to leave....( African-American )... I said excuse me? Can you please tell me why I have to leave? Bouncer replied back saying, " it's because of the way I saw you walk coming from Wally's". I explained to him why I had a limp because I had surgery on both my feet and I have screws and a plate with other screws in my other foot. ( I still have a limp when I walk from time to time). I explained to the bouncer I'm technically handicap and I have some issues with walking but he didn't seem to care... I did proceeded to stand on one leg to show him how my balance is still good on my other leg but for some reason he thought that was not good enough... I had a prime rib dinner at Wally's and I had one beer to accompany that meal! The bouncer apparently does not know how to do his job or verify if people should be there or not. Why did he wait 5 minutes later when I was already at the bar sitting down to embarrass me? why didn't he just tell me I couldn't come in to begin with @ the entrance ? I've never seen this bouncer there before in the past but he clearly doesn't know how to deal with people! My visit as short as it was turn out to be an embarrassment and an insult! I will never go there again! If you're handicapped in any way watch out they'll just kick you out for the way you have difficulties walking. This place just lost my business in the future and I live locally here for the last 25 years! FYI, so now they discriminate people coming from Wally's also?.. that was one of my thoughts just thought I would mention... I will give this rating more than a star if I ever get a formal apology at least if not then you know a little bit more...
Read moreEdited Went here last year (2020), and it was great. Fantastic staff, quality was good and overall a pleasant experience. Unfortunately this year they were consistently out of items (which I am chalking up to the same supply chain issues most restaurants are dealing with), the menus were falling apart and out of date, the staff were probably burned out from not having items in stock, I hope no one has blamed them for any of it. But long story short, I had to drop the 5 star review to 4 stars. I will go back next summer and hope I can give back...
