Green Room — Restaurant in Hampton

This is my first time ever leaving a review for a business. A few years ago, during the Pandemic, while being completely locked down in NYS, we found that Hampton Beach, NH was the land of the free. While people were scared to leave their houses in NY, Hampton Beach was business as usual. And so, my family and I, fell in love with the place, and over the past few Summers, including this year's Memorial Day weekend, we have fallen in love with The Green Room. I am very particular about my coffee, and if you are looking for coffee, the Green Room is by far the best place in Hampton Beach. They have lots of different flavors for iced coffee. The Green Room also has top notch smoothies and smoothie bowls. Each smoothie and smoothie bowl is made with all natural and fresh ingredients, and you can tell immediately when you first taste them. The most enjoyable part of my constant visits to the Green Room is how they treat you like family, and how once they see you there for the first time, they don't forgot your name and they treat you like royalty upon your arrival. That's important to me, and it's important to my family. With all the guests they have coming in and out of there on a daily basis, it was such a wonderful feeling to be treated that way. Desiree was always welcoming with a friendly smile, and of course, a greeting on a first named basis. You can tell that she cares a lot about the Green Room and the importance of managing a well run business in Hampton Beach, NH. Finally got to try this place, while vacationing we are staying in a hotel within walking distance of it. Hours are 8am-3pm daily. They do have an interesting menu, including coffee beverages & smoothies. Chai smoothie sounds great, never had it before. I tried a Snickerdoodle iced coffee that was very good. Definitely fresh. You do have to add your own cream/sugar. This can be a good thing because you choose the amount you put in, so it's made to your liking. However, it is a tad time consuming to add your own cream/sugar, especially if you like a lot of either or both or are getting multiple drinks. Service was alright. Person who took our order was friendly. Cool atmosphere. Mostly younger people employed here & as guests we noticed, or at least at the time that we stopped in. It's in a good location, close to many motels/hotels. Only thing I'd suggest is maybe changing the hours. It's great that they're open daily. Most coffee shops open much earlier than 8am though & typically stay open later in the day. Especially during Summer, the tourist season would likely bring in plenty of customers, so if they were to open at 5/6am, I'm sure it would be convenient for lots of visitors to Hampton Beach that need their morning coffee, or just a mid day caffeine boost. I didn't see any Dunkin' Donuts near here or other places to buy coffee, so it would be nice if they had the ability to be open for longer each day. Doors opened 8am…I am a Nitro Cold Brew fanatic. I am not much of a coffee guy (not picky…drinks it black…not a habit), but I enjoy a good stout (beer is my downfall). The Nitro Cold Brew was refreshing and lacked the bitter staleness I have encountered at many other local coffee joints. I had a pint every morning. The Nitro (NO ICE PLEASE) gave me the pick me up I needed to keep the week long party going. The food was so light, refreshing, and satisfying; My daughter and wife devoured numerous menu items every morning. The OG Avo tasted garden fresh. The Cinnamon Rainbows Toastie recipe must have been found inside the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. How the heck, did they get the fruit to stick so well to the toast? At first glance, the “Toastie” looks like a nightmare of a morning meal…Square up and don’t bend your neck or them blueberries be rolling off…but nope. The consistency and quantity of the granola butter held the fruit solidly, like Krazy Glue holds a man, in a helmet, to a steal beam. Service was quick each day…Smiles were free. A+++
