Dose Of Sugar — Restaurant in Hamtramck

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place! We have lived in Hamtramck for almost 9 years and have seen a lot of businesses come and go, and this place is here to stay! Please please PLEASE tell ALL your friends about this amazing coffee/ sweets shop! This place has the most delicious treats, and the prices are absolutely insane. We’ve been here a few times now, and every time, we love it more! The baristas are so sweet and helpful, they make gorgeous coffee art, and almost everything in the case is only $5! -Not to mention the owner is an EXTREMELY talented cake maker/decorator. They have milkshakes, make their own ice cream, and have the most cozy, inviting atmosphere, complete with fluffy pillows on couch’s and WiFi! Today we got a white chocolate mocha with an extra shot and the Biscoff Tre Leches. It’s the most delicious thing that’s ever happened to me!🤣🙏🏽💕🍨🍰☕️🧸💝 I pray they never leave our community. I ordered two lattes, one was a Biscoff and one was a Creme Brûlée. The creme brûlée was disgusting and had a bunch of syrupy, sugary goop at the bottom that made it inedible for drinking or even reheating to melt that stuff.

I also ordered pastries that the woman behind the counter forgot about. She looked at me like a leper for a second because she was confused why I was still idly standing by when she was done making my drinks and she started making the next customer's drinks. I had to remind her, "My pastries..." and that's when I got the rest of my order.

Granted, it was Thanksgiving and a bunch of people had just come in and this was the only person working behind the counter, but again - I wouldn't come back. Menu items are overpriced for not that great of service or...

I was excited to try this place because it’s cute and I’ve never been. I parked out front. The had to jump over a big pile of snow to get to the sidewalk and the pavement outside the door was super slippery I almost fell walking in. Ordered my two coffees for me and my fiance and when I get in my car to put them in the cup holder one of the tops comes off and coffee spills everywhere! Great! The top doesn’t fit properly. I clean up the best I can and start to drink my other coffee and guess what happens? The top falls off spilling coffee all over myself and the seat. I just ended up stopping at the shell gas station near the cafe and throwing them both away. Please get better quality cups and tops because my clothes and...
