Again, zero accountability with these guys. If you look at all the negative reviews, they blame the customer. For example, the person who ordered the steak on a sizzling plate probably expected their steak to cook to the right doneness level on the plate yet they blame him saying he should know from experience that it would overcook the steak. How about you cook it properly so that the sizzling plate doesn’t over cook it idiots. These guys failed so fast as Syedi’s kitchen (within a month) and they somehow think changing the name and menu fixes everything. They really need to take a business class and learn about marketing, pricing, and demographics. This is meant to be constructive feedback, but apologies if it sounds negative. They also don’t ever take accountability here, they are never in the wrong and blame the customer or say they are still under a “soft opening”. News flash, you were open under a different name and had plenty of time to sort out issues. Update to your response: First of all, you guys pay influencers to leave positive reviews and on top of that you guys had fake 5 star reviews under Syedis. Secondly, it’s easy to understand the demographics here. No one, especially in the south Asian community, is willing to pay the price point you command in Hanover Park. The price point and environment you are looking to build is not suited for Hanover park, it’s more suited for the city or areas such as Schaumburg and Naperville. You were previously doing a $350 tasting menu when actual Michelin restaurants are cheaper than that and on top of that no cares about the theatrics of the screen. Another update: It’s funny how you deflect, not once did I say Hanover Park doesn’t deserve a premium dining experience, so don’t twist my words. However, back to the point about demographics, some places are simply not suitable for upscale dining, it has nothing to do with disrespecting the community, that’s just how certain markets are. You go where there is demand, doesn’t matter if a place “deserves” upscale dining. Prime location is one of the most simple concepts in business. Also, Not once did I say I wasn’t open to the concept, just that it was executed poorly (as evidenced by rebranding in less than a month). More people would be willing to try and support a local business if they didn’t enter with a market with outrageous prices and trying to justify it by being a “premium” dining experience, especially in an area where competing restaurants have significantly lower willingness to pay. Flashy videos and paying influencers won’t convince people, the quality of the food will but some people won’t have the willingness to pay to really see if the quality is up to par. Certain cities have a higher willingness to pay which would result in you having more foot traffic. Also, don’t lie, the influencers on your page are known to be paid for reviews. Take this as constructive feedback not “tearing a business down”. Once you realize this, you’ll see that simply changing a menu and a name won’t make...
Read moreSoooo this place was hyped up by cousin Vinnie so my husband and I wanted to try it out for our date night. Get there it's a store front and as soon as u walk in the door it's a table with ppl eating right there. This is just a room full of tables and TV screens. The screens are a nice touch but the holograms on the ceiling are for Christmas... like Santa, reindeers,Christmas tree which was weird. We were sat at a table for like 8 and had us sitting next to each other instead of across from each other...I see why. The next guest were a group of 4, they was sat at the table with us... huh. They have plates on the table but when we looked at the menu they don't serve appetizers... huh! OK so they don't have much on the menu we start off by ordering a mocktail. . Which tasted like a glass of melted freeze popsicle with a lot of ice... mind u there $8 no decorations or a cherry nothing in this drink. Then sat there for over an hour for the manager to realize we haven't ate do he offer us soup... OK thank u. It was cold with tough pieces of meat in it. Now another 20mins has went pass and the table next to the came after us getting there plates one by one every 15mins . So we like OK where's our food? My husband gets up and tell them we're leaving can we pay for our drinks. They ask why hold on give us a second let us resolve this... OK we wait for him to send a young lady over to tell us they don't know what happen to our food don't worry about the drinks... I'm like wow! So we left and grab some drinks from the Walgreens next door. To the ladies pls don't wear no heals to this place it's not worth it. My husband still wants to go back to order take out because we didn't get to taste the food but I'm not riding 45 mins back to that place maybe if we're in that neck of the woods we...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Halal Steakhouse, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The food was outstanding and the service impeccable, making it a perfect choice for a special occasion.
We ordered the Beef Brisket Platter and Smoked Beef Short Ribs, both of which were tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The generous portions left us with plenty of leftovers for another meal, which was a delightful bonus! The sides complemented our main dishes wonderfully; the mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, the truffle French fries were crispy and packed with flavor, and the asparagus added a nice freshness to our feast.
One highlight of our visit was the array of six different sauces for dipping. Each sauce was delicious and added a unique twist to the already fantastic dishes. It was a tasty adventure to try all the different flavor combinations!
The ambience of the restaurant was also noteworthy. The decor is unique and fun, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere. It felt like a fresh addition to the dining scene, making it a cool spot to hang out with friends or family.
To top off our wonderful meal, the staff surprised me with a complimentary 6" cake for Mother’s Day. That sweet gesture really made the day extra special and demonstrated their exceptional customer service.
Overall, The Halal Steakhouse exceeded my expectations. With its delicious food, generous portions, thoughtful service, and vibrant atmosphere, I can’t wait to return for another amazing meal! Highly...
