ZERO STARS- DO NOT EAT HERE. Ordered dinner from here on July 8th on the phone for pick-up. The person answering phone calls took our order, but she did not read it back to us. No name under the order either, they just use the last 4 digits of your phone number. We ordered 5 items, were not told any total value, and said come pick it up in around 10 minutes. When we picked it up (around 15 minutes later), we had to wait another 10 minutes for the order to be ready. It was weirdly expensive and there was no receipt. The bag was stapled shut so we didn’t open it until we got home. We get home and they had forgotten 2 of our items and given us one completely wrong item (so the bag had 4 things— 2 missing and 1 wrong). We tried calling back and were placed on hold for 10 minutes, and then eventually tried calling again and were hung up on. Once we finally got ahold of the same woman who took out order she said the computer was broken, the power was out earlier today, and that she doesn’t remember us ordering the 2 things we were missing. She also said if we wanted those dishes, we would have to place another order for pickup and pay for it.
DO NOT EAT HERE. The food was really not good (because we ended up eating what they gave us) and the customer service is terrible. Also, there is absolutely nothing organized about this business and you are guaranteed to overpay and not get the correct items...
Read moreCame here for a Friday lunch date with my husband. I hadn't been in years and was so happy we made a return! It was 12/30 so they were clearly preparing for NYE and the menu was limited and large orders only. We ordered crab rangoon, eggrolls & chicken fingers to start. Then we had pork fried rice and general tsao's chicken. Everything was SO delicious. All appetizers were fresh & hot but the eggrolls were the so good - one of my fav items but hard to find good ones lately! General tsao's is not usually my go-to item because it is often too sweet, but my husband loves it. This one has me craving it! The chicken was fresh & all white meat, and the sauce was everything it should be - a bit sweet, sticky, and with a hint of spice and tang. I liked the addition of the vegetables (a bit of celery, baby corn & mushrooms). The fried rice was perfect - dark and full of chunks of pork, onions and bean sprouts. I can't...
Read moreMy wife and I have eaten exceptional food in China, and while this is clearly Americanized Chinese, it's the best we've had anywhere on the South Shore south of Quincy. Nice atmosphere, friendly/attentive service, and quite good food. Unlike the other Chinese restaurants around, most items at Beijing House aren't sweetened for the American palette--lots of savory, spicy dishes. Our favorites: Black Pepper Lamb (an off the menu specialty you can ask for); Beijing Calamari; Singapore Rice Noodles (curried): Garlic & Chive Wontons; Spicy String Beans with Pork; and of course, on the sweet side, Beijing Duck and General Tso's Chicken. The prices are mid-range, but portions are large, so when we order 4-5 dishes, we take home a feast for...
