They ruined a rare Christmas gathering with family. We ordered 2 pizzas, a baked ziti platter and a chicken tender platter. I pre-ordered it 2 days in advance to make sure on the timing as I was also picking up food from somewhere else to bring to the gathering. I get there and they tell me my order ISN'T READY! People are coming and going, coming in and ordering and still leaving before me. After multiple times of asking what the hold up was they told me they never made the chicken tender platter. I said are my pizzas done? They said yes and I said well with the time that I have been standing here and I am still waiting the pizzas are cold now I'm sure. They did not respond to me. As I sat there 25 to 30 minutes later as my spouse waited in the car the other place I had ordered food from was calling me to ask where I was because the food was ready and had been meeting. That meant all the other food that I ordered was now also going to be cold. Not because of anything the other place did but because of what this establishment did. I am disgusted to the way I was treated. I was never given an explanation or apology for all the time that I sat there. It is very rare for us to be able to get our two families together. Thank you Mama Mia's for ruining our dinner. Even if you we made the pizzas and they were hot to match the chicken and ziti the other food we ordered was still going to be ruined as well. No responsibility was taken on behalf of anyone...
Read moreMy experiences have not been good in the past few months. Sense their has been wait staff changes. Waitresses very young and they used to have good young waitresses. In the past motivated welcoming and were into the job with a smile and good servise. Now it's like an effort for you to get waited on. Order food and it to come out right. Been going there over 15 yrs. I see a very big change in managing wait staff and food I was a frequent customer who felt like family back about 6 months ago. It has changed tremendasly not for the good but lack of communication skills waitress skills and I don't plan to return to often. You had a great waitress kelly she was a go getter loved her job her customers and being there to bend over backwards to makesure her customers were happy made sure the right food was ordered to cook nothing came out wrong. Except she's no longer there to bad cause she was Great! Hopefully you can improve on training wait staff how to be friendly into there job it's customer satisfaction or the customer will not come back. If waitresses are moody food order is wrong. I hope you make some changes so customers come back.cause it's not what...
Read moreI've been going to Mamma Mia's for years and they have always been great. Pizza, homemade pasta and atmosphere never disappoint. That being said, the sandwiches need some serious improvement. They have all the ingredients to make the best subs around (and they have plenty of competition in the neighborhood) but they just fall short. I ordered two veal parm and one Italian each around $13. They only have one size, which is fine, but they're very small. They come with French fries in a styrofoam to-go box which isn't ideal when you order a sandwich, it should be wrapped like every other sub in new england, it serves a purpose! It tightens up the sub, holds it together and keeps it warm longer. Make a bigger sandwich and sell the fries seperately!!! The veal itself was good but the Italian sub looked like it was put together by a 6 year old, and it was just Mortadella salami and provolone. Pretty dismal for a group of restaurants that pride themselves on authentic homemade Italian food. Again I love everything else about this place, and recommend it all the time, but order pizza and pasta... stay away...
