Cafe Yumm! - Happy Valley — Restaurant in Happy Valley

Horrible experience and customer service tonight from the team lead Joaquin. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Not only did I tip and pay extras for sauce which was not on it. I was greeted with attitude and dirty looks from the kitchen staff as if they were annoyed that I asked about my order being correct. Which it was not. He asked to see my bowl I showed him which he did not make and said it was enough on there. I paid for extras I should have had that not to mention I tipped. I had to break it down for him and the Asian worker didn’t get her name in the back was rolling her eyes the whole time. He ended up refunded my order rather than giving me a side of extra sauce. Made no sense to me. The issue wasn’t paying for my food but the lack of customer service and concern for my inquiry about the food I paid for and pre-tipped for. So very disappointed and I will not vouch for this location. Let’s not mention I was questioning my order because this is the second time I’ve ordered online and it’s just thrown together sloppy or missing items. First time I got all the way home and noticed this time I checked while in the store. Save your money and go...

The original Cafe Yumm in Eugene was fantastic. I don't know what went wrong when they decided to franchise but it's not a good experience. I have given them at least a dozen chances with my lunch money and I can no longer recommend this location as each visit they have screwed up some major part of the order. So far they have twice packaged my to go order for dine in and also twice substituted my entree for something I didn't order. Most recently it took 37 minutes for the time I paid for it to be ready. That's unacceptable for a dish that costs twice as much as a Whole Bowl with the same pre-prepared ingredients that literally needs less than a minute to assemble. I know I'm not alone since on most of my visits other folks received screwed up orders as well... I had previously written it down to teething problems but they have been open for long enough to iron those out. The Yumm sauce is still good, but there are plenty of easy clone recipes online now so it's just not worth the hassle to come here ever again. I will try the original cafe in Eugene next time I head south, hopefully it's still as good as...

Two strikes and you're out. Not worth waiting 30 minutes for half your order to never come.

Editing this review to add more info: This was the second time in a row we had a poor experience at this location. There was only one worker taking orders and he was located outside the restaurant. I put in my order, waited a half hour in my car, and then went back to ask what was going on. I had been forgotten and only half my order was ready. I received a refund and three coupons for free small Yumm bowls for the Vancouver WA location for some reason (yes, that is 20 miles away from this location). I felt like the worker was setup for disaster because the line never died down enough for him to get orders out to the folks he promised to deliver to in their cars.
