K-Bop — Restaurant in Happy Valley

I ordered the Spicy Pork entree as I wanted to try their Macaroni Salad and wow! Super delicious! The Pork was very tender, slightly sweet, ever so slightly spicy, super flavorful. I would've loved some onions/green onions in the mix but that is just preference. The Rice was cooked perfectly, it's definitely not minute rice. The Macaroni Salad was amazing! Creamy, slightly sweet, slightly tangy, a little bite from the cracked black pepper. If you like a good amount of black pepper (which I do) in your mac salad, you'll like this one. The little salad that it comes with is just like any other salad with ranch, so nothing amazing, but that's why it's on the side. Great portion! I am eating this one entree for both lunch and dinner, for $11.65. I am a little on the smaller side so that might not be the case for everyone but one entree is a great size for at least one meal. I admit we haven’t really made it a point to go to HV Station (price point seems high for food carts and portions) but I popped in with my kids for lunch after their Ortho appt and found this gem. K-Bop! Korean and Hawaiian food. I ordered 2 of their Bibim bowls and it was definitely worth the $10. This is a difficult dish to make as it requires a bunch of the Korean side dishes to be mixed in. My kids even gobbled it down, veggies and all. The one on the left is with the beef and house special sauce (kind of a teriyaki flavor) and the right is the spicy pork with the spicy Korean sauce. High maintenance husband...

Quaint little eatery, with the most exquisite korean fried chicken around! I happened upon them by accident and ordered the soy garlic boneless chicken, which was a hearty amount of chicken and a side of rice.

everyone eating there was very happy and tucking into their food with gusto. while this is out of my way to eat at, I will detour to enjoy their food and take visiting family there when I pick them up from the airport.

it is a real treat and I look forward to trying more food...
