This rating is solely on the service(food review at the bottom) as a first timer. I ordered and told the girl it was our first time ordering and right off the bat she sounded irritated, she cut me off with what can I get you, I could tell she was mad about something, but when I was a kid and my dad told me food places or any business for that matter should treat customers every time like it's their first time visit! They should make it so they want to come back, because first impressions last forever! I worked as a manager in a pizza shop for 6 years and the public and regulars loved me, because I treated them like gold, which they are the gold! I will write another review after we get the food, but as far as customer service goes they need someone polite and charming to answer phones as to not deter the customers from wanting to ever call back! Edit: The food review, the food was subpar at best, I am not sure what all these reviews are on about, because the pizza is exactly the same as Patti's Pizza except Patti's tastes better and it's cheaper! The taco sub was pretty spicy and overall bland, and the combo was like literally every combo I have had from a cheap pizza shop, except this place over charges for this tiny sub! They didn't take the ring on the ham off and both my wife and I choked on it! The cheese sticks were ok didn't even come with marinara sauce! Honestly I would say its about a 2 out of 5 because of the price for food ratio and compared to other local pizza shops. If I were you I would order somewhere else unless you want to pay $40 for a pizza and 2 subs and cheese sticks that are lacking, when it come to cheaper better tasting...
Read moreSpent a good deal of time trying every pizza place around East Erie. I went down the list of the different competitions and even tried them all from first to worst.
The place always in first is a shop over by Penn State. It's disgusting.
I ended up trying this place after getting coupons in the mail. They have two options, their "regular" dough and fresh dough. Their "regular" dough is a pre-made card board out of a bag. It's not the worst thing I have ever tried, I would say it's fine. Their fresh dough is really good.
My only complaint would be that they don't let it rise long enough when they get it out of the fridge. Normally, you let it sit after taking it out of the freezer/fridge for 1-4 hours, depending on the thickness you want. However, they seem to just use it immediately. Therefore, the dough in the center is very hard and thin. It's not crispy. It's hard. That's just the first bite, but it can be disconcerting.
As for the atmosphere, it is pretty ramshackle. You walk in, and all you see are tables, chairs, and a deli fridge all filled and stacked to the brim with the fake "regular" dough on the chairs and table and fresh dough and condiments in the deli fridge. There is no place to sit. Not if you wanted to eat or even while you are just waiting.
Oh, the wings are good. And competitively priced.
So, the fresh dough pizza is by far my favorite in East Erie. Prices are decent and the food is better....
Read moreI ordered wings (18), a sub, poppers and chicken tenders with a basket of fries. I waited over an hour and a half. Thats not the worst of it. The poppers were mediocre low budget save-a-lot tasting and LUKE WARM at best. The sub was slapped together and not even the right sub. They gave me a steak and cheddar sauce sub when I asked of a Philly cheese steak. The wings were also LUKE WARM. When your spending 50+ dollars on food plus tip, AND YOU'RE LATE as a customer, expect to get at the Very LEAST, hot food. I gave 2 stars instead of ONES across the board because my daughter enjoyed her tenders. I will NOT waste my time or money ordering from here again. First...
