El Rancho Restaurant — Restaurant in Harlingen

We have eaten here several times frequently and no thanks to our nasty waitress attitude we will never go back again. We have eaten here after a football game and its was more packed an today and we were servered with kindness. This waitress sat us down and only brought my grandmother her coffee and didnt even get us our drinks. My little brother went up to the waitress and asked her how long its gonna take. She responded that she'll be there. As she approached our table of 14. After about a 20 minute wait , She tossed the menus on the table and yelled about my tickets do we have. My Aunt repeat herself 3 times and took their drink order and then came to our turn and she yelled at me how many tickets. Specifically after my aunt told her from where the seperate tickets were at. I know with wearing the masks is hard to speak but to tye point to were she yelled at my daughter and then at me. I was NOT gonna have any waitress yell and disrespect us in from of my family especially my grandmother. As I got up to leave. I told the waitress i want to speak to the owner or manager, which they claimed they were nit here and not available. She then went running to thr front counter yelling loudly in the entire restaurant that we were yelling at her. Making this complaint so everyone in the restaurant to hear. As I approach the front counter she started threaten me to call the cops. I told her go ahead. You are in the wrong. As we were united as a family to mourn the lost of our mother 9 months ago. She had the audacity to pick on my shirt of my mother saying. Your wearing the shirt and look where your coming from and your with an attitude. If waiting for 20minutes was bad enough. She insults us about my mother, threatens to call police. As we were leaving all the servers told her you are so wrong if what you did. This is so sad and thanks to that waitress for ruining our reunion and our Easter. But I can forgive that waitress but will NOT recommend this restaurant. Very unorganized and no management. After we left one if my brithers said the manager that was hiding finally came out...

Very unpleasant restaurant to dine in. Went there yesterday evening with my family for supper and had a very rude & unpleasant time. We arrived at 6:45 pm & sat down at table. Waitress was attending table next to us. She was walking past us & I asked her if she could take our order? She said she would be right back. Waited 15 min & nothing so I got up & found a waiter & asked him if he could take our order? I said our waitress never came back & he said I am not your waiter but ok I will help you. We ordered our drinks & it took him 15 min to come back with them. We ordered our plates & I asked him for chips & salsa. It took him 15 min to come back with chip & salsa. After 1 hour we still didn't have our food. My wife got up & went to the front to ask about our order. Lady told her that she would see what's going on. After another 30 min we finally got our food served & it was very cold. My wife sent hers back to reheat. We were very frustrated at this point. Overall it took 1: 30 hr for us to get our food served. We will not be going back to this place ever again. We should've gone to Tejeno Grill instead. They have excellent service & are very friendly & efficient. I am very dissappointed at El Rancho Rest. Manager should monitor their employees more closely to ensure customers are served & greeted more inefficiently. Something needs to be done to correct this situation as soon...

I went through the drive thru and I only ordered 2 breakfast tacos and a side of refried beans. It took them more than 1/2 an hour to bring them out. Mind you they only brought them to me when they noticed I had moved from the designated parking area to back in line. I kindly asked the female that brought out my tacos for a plastic bag because there tacos always seem to leak through the foil. Needless to say she brought me one but it didn’t go without attitude. I remained nice and I still told her thank you while she marched off inside without acknowledging my thank you. I then came home and much to my surprise my order was not only not to my specifications but the food wasn’t even lukewarm. My refried beans were also cold and sitting in a pool of grease. I called and the result was them asking me to go back. I told them that I was handicap and that I live in San Benito on the outskirts. They were rude and I lost out on my money. I threw the food away because it was inedible. Oh and management never came to the phone she had the cashier do her dirty work. I’ll stick to Blanquitas in San Benito.
