After having been told by several people that the sweet bread from this location was one of the best in the city, I accidentally found the infamous Lara's Bakery in Harlingen whilst playing Pokemon Go. AMAZING, FRESH, MOIST, AUTHENTIC, RGV TRADITION. Lara's Bakery is on a level all on its own. All its treats and goods are so tasty and delicious. My parents won't let me into their house if I bring pan dulce from any where else. Yes, REALLY! lol I highly recommend this local business establishment that's been a community staple for many many years. Locals, if you live in the upper RGV, come on down. Visitors, if you want to experience some Mexican bakery goods, Google map it. Wear your mask. They provide hand sanitizer and they observe social distancing. Political views aside, come enjoy.. Don't take my word for it, experience it...
