Paris Bakery Harlingen — Restaurant in Harlingen

I bought their famous (and expensive) cheesecake for a friend's birthday. I was SO embarrased because as people took bites of their slices, they had anywhere from 1-4 big chunks (1 inch size) of cream cheese in their slice. Everyone politely took a couple of bites and threw the rest away. I like cream cheese and all but eating it straight with a fork is not appetizing. Anyway, I called the store to tell them and the manager told me the only thing she could do was offer me 10% off a future purchase. I ask for a replacement cake and she said I would need to bring the cake in. I explained that the birthday girl kept the cake as is customary but that I had the receipt and photos of the chunks. She said she was unable to help me but that I could have 10% off. As soon as we walked in, it was an experience that I did not like. I dont believe I was greeted. Isn't that what good customer service is from the getgo? Being that this was the 1st time I had visited & I had no idea what their "rules" were due to covid & all. I looked around for signs & nothing. I asked how does this work? Do we just grab the tongs & a bag or do I have to wear a glove? All the cashier said "the tongs are right there, pointing into air. I finally see them & start looking at what bread is available. Then I look for some sort of pricing & nothing to be found. I finally just grab a piece that looked alright. I go to the register. I paid almost $3 for ONE glazed donut. Just glazed. Nothing fancy. Way over priced! If it was like no other & delicious I would have probably given 1 more star. But I could buy a Dozen donuts from sams for like $4-$5 & they're delicious. Won't be...

Fourth of July cake RUINED!!!!!! This place got the cake wrong and still charged me!!!! They made up for the wrong cake with conchas and cookies....SO WRONG!!!!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD AND THEY DONT UNDERSTAND HOW TO TAKE ORDERS!!! After spending 1 hr on the phone explaining exactly what i wanted they still messed up. When i got there the cake was totally wrong they seem to be having commmunication issues within themselves my cake order was taken in English and all other employees spoke nothing but Spanish. First time trying this place and definitely my last!!!! Baking cakes for a SPECIAL event should be done correctly and tastefully. This bakery lacks compassion and understanding. It is not right to take another persons hard earned money and give them something they did not ask for. Learn ethics. P.S. I will be reporting this place to the better...
