So came in on a March 1st on a friday was craving their homestyle fried chicken and to my surprise it dont come with gravy, yet the country chicken fried chicken does hmm 🤔 it is the same concept and dish yet i'm like baffled with it. Well, here are the pics of chicken fried chicken plate and the southern fried chicken. Yet different prices.. I don't get it. But ok, the dish is good for the acception, no gravy🤦♀️
Came on a Sunday hoping to have my taste buds satisfied and yet it was a horrible experience now this is difficult some places have different meanings on how to cook eggs all I wanted was over easy eggs and I get that clear yucky makes me gross out some may like it but I don't I was specific with my meal yet they mess it up all the clear was on egg what I didn't want. They take it back, and funny it returns as if it was placed on stove and bring me the same plate back. Was not cooked I just didn't want to argue by this time rest of the meal was cold then I was eating upset it killed the taste and dissapointed on my plate to begin the presintation was horrible I ordered the old timers plate with 2 over medium eggs, 2 sausages, grits and biscuit with gravy and in my head I have this awesome presintation in reality 2 messed up eggs, dried sausage No biscuit apparently they bring it to you to your table with the corn bread. For that case, I should have ordered a side of gravy and made my own, but instead, idk what they are thinking. This was definitely not the plate I read. Then another lady said, "You don't like it? I'm like NO, but let it go. It's done. it messed my meal up. I just want to be done and out. They come and bring me 2 more eggs and still a mess. I'm like, forget it. They were dry. At this point, I wasn't hungry and lost my appetite it was just aweful. You all need a chart with pics so the customer can explain what is asked for and have pics in the kitchen so your cooks know what is wanted.
Well, we came back after our horrible experience, and this time, it was on par. Our waitress was on top of things. My dish was awesome, was great & tasty delicious. I ordered the Saturday special pork chops omg highly recommend it very moist. My husband ordered the meatloaf plate , and the taste was ok. Only if it was hot was cold was a bit more dried than it should be. Mash potatoes were fresh and good, not from a box. The fried oakra was good, too. So this time it was better than last time. Was pretty busy, and I even took a pic of the updated menu with pics. Mine was just a plain Jane simple plate and got chaos. There is a pic here, so you all know exactly what and how the egg is cooked, the simplest item on the menu yet cooked and given wrong. Make your breakfast plates presentable nowhere near as...
Read moreDate of Visit: 7:00 PM, July 24th As a long-time Cracker Barrel customer visiting from Tennessee, I was extremely disappointed by my experience at this location. Unfortunately, it was not only the worst Cracker Barrel I’ve ever visited, but one of the most poorly managed dining experiences I’ve encountered in general.
Despite the restaurant being mostly empty (fewer than 15 guests), our server took nearly 10 minutes just to bring waters. When our meals arrived, we realized we hadn’t been given any silverware. The biscuits and cornbread were served cold, and my order—eggs over hard with steak—came out scrambled, with both the steak and hash browns also cold. My mother’s meal was similarly unsatisfactory; her eggs and cornbread were both cold and lacked flavor.
We requested Cholula hot sauce but were given Tabasco instead. Even basic items like the salt shaker were unusable due to moisture buildup.
After finishing our meals, we placed a to-go order for a meatloaf plate for my aunt. I specifically asked for plastic utensils, and the server returned with just a plastic spoon. When we asked for a fork and knife, she said she would check again only to come back and inform us that the manager claimed there were no more to-go utensils available in the entire restaurant.
We also asked for biscuits with the to-go order and were mistakenly given cornbread.
This visit reflected an unacceptable level of service and operational disorganization. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism at a brand I’ve long trusted, especially during a trip away from home. Regrettably, based on this experience, I will no longer be dining at...
Read moreThis is your typical country restaurant. It is a Cracker Barrel after all. It’s a somewhat noisy environment so don’t expect to have a peaceful dine in experience. This particular visit had an unfortunate experience to it. While enjoying my dine in with my family, the waitress behind me placed her tray with fresh brewed coffee behind me. The tray dipped and the pot rolled off onto my back. What a burn. The waitress and the table attendants along with management tended to clean up the mess and myself. I had to walk it off shaking with pain. It was unfortunate for me to get injured but I tried to play off my injury. Time will tell if I need medical attention. But they took care of my bill. They should have taken the entire table for that fact. (Lawsuit?). I don’t know. I would have given it 5 stars for the professionalism they took but I gave it two for the experience. I’ll add an update late once my pain subsides.
Update: I was fine later that day. Corporate office contacted me and sent me a gift card for my troubles. Friends told me I should have sued but I was ok. After about a year or so going back after this incident, I finally had the adrenaline to go back. OMG!, their portions have dwindled with raised prices. Pay more for less. These portions are small for what I’m paying for. This place is not the...
