I absolutely love Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers! I think this might be my favorite fast food joint in the whole world! They always provide amazing and friendly service! The menu however, a bit small, is still pretty good compared to other places with a wider range of options. This location specifically doesn't deserve 5 stars for one BIG problem. It's located next to one of the busiest roadways in Harlingen and during lunch hours and after work hours this place will get packed to the brim. You will see a line forming outside the very small parking area and into the shoulder lane of the roadway sometimes blocking the close by McDonalds exits which has almost caused many accidents in the past. I personally don't think the owner knew how popular this place would get once it opened. I don't know how this can be fixed because they have a small lot and I would hate to see someone get into an accident while they are trying to get their food or someone pulling out without seeing incoming vehicles. This specific area is very prone to accidents I've seen first hand so I'd be more cautious driving down this road when seeing this place packed. With that, there can also be some days where wait times can last up to 30 minutes or more making it Not so fast food. The problem with this leads to people piling up like they do. Almost no one leaves out of the line because of their desire to get some Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers.
The picture provided was a time I waited around 27 minutes at 7PM just to be able to order. It's a very poor example but there were many cars behind me and even a few cars in front trying to get out but were blocked by others told to wait for order ahead of the window due to the volume...
Read moreThe food is really good, but the staff is another story. They made a mistake on an order we picked up so when we called to let them know they said they would replace two box combos to make up for their mistake. Well when we went for our remake the cashier was really rude and even told another employee there right in front of us, " you handle this one" that was really rude especially since she was the one not wanting to give us the order they promised as if she had to take it out of her pocket or something. They had told us two 4 pieces were " on the house" on the phone, then in person said only one 3 piece would be given. She said that's all she could give us even though the person we spoke to said otherwise, and was charging us for it. We kept trying to explain to her till she rudely said that to the other employee. It wouldn't have been a problem if she just would have been a little more polite. Normally they are really polite there but this one cashier was not. I didn't get her name but I'm sure they will know who she is when they read this. And if they cannot give us the meals "on the house" how they say, that's fine, but don't tell us otherwise on the phone because then we go thinking they are going to fulfill that and end up making us pay for the whole order again. It was their mistake and they ended up getting double the money for charging us twice when we were trying to just get the 2 meals they promised. My kids already were expecting it so unfortunately we ended up paying and they won. But we will not be going there again unfortunately, that was one of our favorite places. But sometimes one employee can make a whole difference in a...
Read moreTheir food is great, the whole family likes it and enjoys eating inside, we've been twice. However parking is limited at this location. What's worse is to see employees cars parked right across from the entry door. My son recognized a hard hat in the back window of a car that had a bunch of signatures on it similar to the one that was inside on our last visit. We had to park down by the smelly dumpsters on a 100 degree day. Then we walked the 70-80 ft to the door by walking in the drive thru lane. Less than ideal for my family. If we didn't park there, the other option was to park at the business next to Raising Cane's or eat somewhere else. If there's still employees parking by the entry door the next time we visit, we might not go as often and will stick to some place with better parking availability.
FOLLOW UP FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW (down graded review from 3 to 1 star) I called corporate who said that more coaching would be done with the local management & also that the store manager would contact me. The store manager never called. I don't know if parking has improved for the customer. I haven't been back since as the kids prefer Chic-Fil-A down the street with the play area. If we return, maybe on a Sunday, I'll...
