New China — Restaurant in Harrah

Came here for the luncheon special. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. Meal came with fried rice and hot and sour soup.

The chicken was twice fried tempura style. Just slightly crispy on the outside, but very moist and juicy on the inside. Sauce was spectacular too!

The rice wasn't my favorite, but that's just my own opinion. Still pretty good though. Had lots of veggies throughout which was definitely a bonus.

The hot and sour soup had a very balanced flavor. Unusual enough it didn't contain the normal bits of bamboo slices, but instead featured sliced carrot which wasn't bad. It also had very large generous amounts of mushroom and bits of silken tofu which had a more delicate texture than the extra firm tofu that I'm used to getting in my soups. I would definitely order this soup again and again!

Based on the service I received so far, not only will I continue to stop here and eat, but if also recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone living in or stopping...

The food was tasteless. My husband said his had almost a disinfectant taste to it. Mine had no flavor even after adding soy sauce. The crab Rangoons were the only things that were good. I was really dissatisfied and disappointed. Also, you can only go to the drive thru. This may be convenient for most people, I get that. But I like to see the inside of a restaurant when I order from there. I like to see if the place is clean. At this place, you aren't able to do that. And, at the drive thru window, they have a child who takes your money and gives you your order. He may have been about 9 or 10 years old. 🤔 He did a good job but...is that even allowed? Wow after years of great food and service we picked up burnt food and missing items tonight and politely took everything back for a refund and got denied and disrespected by the "manager". No more New China for this family!

Update: when we told them the bourbon chicken didn't taste right they told us they were out of bourbon chicken and tried mixing other dishes...then said about the burnt egg foo young it was just our opinion and was actually fine lol. It was charred!! Yeah done with new China as we tried being polite asking for a refund but in the end left $40 worth of carryout food sitting on their counter with zero refund!
