Food is great! Service sucks.
My husband and I always order the same thing (crispy kapow chicken and pineapple fried rice). We always order carryout; however, we dared to eat at the restaurant and was treated horribly. I would like to mention that we called 10 minutes before ordering carryout then decided to eat inside the restaurant. Upon arrival, we asked if it would be an issue if we could inside to eat instead and if the chef has started preparing our food. We were assured that eating at the restaurant was fine and the food has yet to be prepared. There were two servers there (guy and girl), and the girl server sat us down. We watched several tables get served (enough water? Can I help you with anything? Do you need boxes?). My husband eventually asked if we can order drinks yet and the guy server told us to wait a minute as he proceeded to clear the one messy table while several (over half the restaurant) other tables were clean and ready to be used if someone were to walk in. The girl server comes out with our food several minutes later and took our drink order. Drinks came out swiftly! Unfortunately, we never saw our server again. The guy server continued to cater to his tables while we were completely ignored. The courtesy and attention given to the other customers was not given to our table. We had to search for the girl server to get boxes and a check. On the way out, I asked the guy server (girl server could not be found) if I could get the name of the manager. He proceeds to grab the girl server from the kitchen. She comes out asking what was wrong with the service. Told her we were completely ignored and had to ask for the services (multiple times) that everyone else was receiving consistently and in a timely manner. She explained she was making drinks. Great! Didn't realize that meant we shouldn't be served. Again, I requested the name of the manager and instead of the answer, she handed me the restaurants brochure and said to just call the number and ask for Kanlaya. Maybe the manager's name is Kanlaya? The servers were not rude... Just neglectful to our specific table. If I could only review the food, I would definitely...
Read moreI’m really shocked by the reviews that gave this 5 stars. They must not have been to good and authentic Thai restaurants. As a Philly native who has been to a plethora of Thai restaurants from different cities, this one is at the bottom of the list. My husband and I dined here for our first time and the place was practically empty. There was one other table. Even though it was empty, the server was absent most of the time and took a while to take our order and come back to check in on us. We both ordered the drunken noodles. My husband got the beef and I got the fried tofu. The tofu was a mistake because it lacked any flavor and the texture was weird. It was very spongey and dry. The weird thing about this dish was that they served it over a bed of fresh lettuce. I couldn’t tell if it was for presentation or for consumption. And if it was, I don’t know if they washed it. They also throw in chopped tomatoes which I found odd for that dish. This did not taste like an authentic drunken noodles dish. I was very disappointed in it. I packed my leftovers, but it just sat in my fridge for a week and then I tossed it. The oil they use doesn’t taste good and they drench it. The noodles and veggies are very greasy and you just feel gross after eating it. On top of that, the interior needs a renovation or some updates. It’s very dark and dingy. Doesn’t feel inviting at all. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place. Unfortunately, Harrisburg is extremely lacking in good quality, authentic cuisines. It’s basically a...

We ordered the Larb Gai, Fried Calamari, Satay, Pot Stickers, Crispy Kapow Chicken, Beef Lad na, and the Chicken Kanlaya Fried Rice.
The food was amazing - seasoned, aromatic, and so delicious. Entree portions are quite generous so much so that we were unable to finish half of them - so we had a lot of food to take home and enjoy.
We arrived at the restaurant at a not so busy time and were served all our food before two tables worth of people came in, so service was really fast. Our server was very kind, courteous, and professional.
Overall, I’d say the food here is reasonably priced in my opinion (a stark contrast to some of the short and intense reviews I’ve read here) In the spirit of full transparency, you can check out the receipt that I provided with this review. Although I was iffy at first with the cost of each, the appetizers were very tasty. I especially enjoyed the calamari while my husband enjoyed the potstickers. If there was one more Satay than what’s served, there would’ve been a small table-sized all out war between the 3 of us to get the last skewer.
For 3 people and for the amount of food we ordered (with consideration to the quality, portion size, and taste), it doesn’t seem...
