Tres Hermanos taqueria has been open for about 4 years now, it is currently on cameron street, not far from paxton street, and about 2 miles up the road from its old location in steelton. I went and tried the following items: Tacos al pastor (pork) it was 3 soft tacos with onions & green peppers and pork for 4.50 i also had the tacos canitas (beef) same price and then also had the cubanito, with was breaded ham, salami, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, etc. it cost 6.05 all in all it was a pretty good deal. the soft taco option is awesome, you choose 1 meat and then they cook it up for you, right before your eyes.

there were decorations from mexico, with mexican and aztec themes. there was a tv playing spanish speaking shows and there were all kinds of advertisments with 'se hablo espanol' on them. there were about 6 or 7 tables and lots of room to walk around. the counter is right when you walk in and just behind it is the kitchen. there was a condiment bar where you could choose from pickles, jalapenos, sour cream, guacamole, & a mix of peppers.

there was also a shop in the back that sold all sorts of mexican and latin american groceries, food, household products, fruit, dried peppers, sugar, spanish language dvds & cds, a pretty decent magazine section, clothing, etc. there was a large basket of bananas and avacados in front of the cash register and there was some home made bean soup in a jar near the register.

the staff was very friendly and helpful. accepts visa & mastercard. on a side note: i asked for a menu to take home and the cashier didnt give me one and also the pork did have a little bit...

AMBIANCE: This establishment can easily be missed if you're driving down Cameron Street, for it sits a little sunken in from the Main Street. Once inside, I felt like I was at a true Mexican authentic establishment. It's very colorful, great music playing, making you feel like you are in Old San Juan. This place also has a small International Grocery Store in the back, which I found extremely helpful, and I found some nice seasonings that I couldn't get anywhere else in the area. Parking is a little confusing, for there are no white lines sectioning off parking spaces, so it seems like people are just making their own parking spot wherever they want.

FOOD: All of the food came out hot and made to order. I have tried different Spanish restaurants in the area, and I will say that this one is tasty but not as tastierthann some of the places nearby. The price point of the food items is extremely reasonable. For a party of tw, I spent under $40 which was excellen, and we were extremely full with items we chose.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:Whenn you walk i, there's a sign that says please wait to be seate. However, we waited for more than 10 minutes before sitting ourselves down and flagging a waitress. The majorityy of the staff don't speak English proficientl, which can be a little struggle when trying to communicate food items. My server was very helpful in helping me decide on a food option for I do speak a...

Never again! I've gotten food here on many occasions with no issue. Tonight though, I ordered my regular and I got something for my gf who is pescatarian (seafood only) only to get home and see they gave her steak instead of shrimp. So I called them right away and explained that my order was good but the other Order was wrong. After going back and forth with different people, they keep repeating that I asked for steak and not shrimp. In the end the guy apologized and I asked him what next? Do I bring the wrong food back or would I have to pay for my correct order to be remade. He said “no no no I make for you now.” So my gf went back to the restaurant only for them to give her the order on a disposable plate covered in foil without the rice and salad the meal comes with. Then show he shows her the receipt and pointed out that we ordered steak instead of shrimp again. Still debating as if he didn’t just apologize over the phone. After I even offered to pay for the correct order since he didn’t want me to return the wrong order. I’m not a thief , liar and I don’t free load. We were hungry and impatient and understood HIS mistake. Why couldn’t he?...

Authentic food, great people, and wonderful local grocery store. If you want to make Hispanic food they way it was intended then come here for your ingredients. If you’re too tired to cook, come here and let them cook it. You know it will be cooked right and taste amazing. If you speak Spanish, it is a huge bless for you because they have tons of stuff that will be right up your alley. There is a lot lost in translation here. Often resulting in Mexican-American food. But if you know what you’re looking for, they can make it just the way you want it. Come here, come back, keep coming back because you want it. Local food, done by local people, done right.

This spot was reccomended to me from a person that lives near there. I always ask people that live in the area for the best spots to eat and they usually never dissapoint. This spot was FANTASTIC. The staff is super friendly and the food was DELICIOUS, fresh ingredients packed with tons of flavor. And the have the fresh ingredients at the toppings bar so you can dress up your tacos. I will stop back here to try other items on the menu. And it feels like you are stepping into a family store fight in Mexico, they have tons of candies, cooking ingredients and all items Mexican. Stop in and check this spot out.

Love this place. Wish they had more food in the store but you can always find all the necessary basics. The market is awesome and has things I took for granted in PHX and are hard to find in central PA. Can find things hard to find in Pa like real chicharron, rare cuts of meat, longaniza, real tortillas, tons of hard to find cheeses. The restaurant is fantastic. Stop in to eat and shop. I hope they move to a larger grocery facility eventually cause I'd be there. Staff are always so nice and always working hard. Support local businesses w hard working people!
