What a wonderful place…and meal! The poster child for what I think a neighborhood bistro should be. My wedge salad was unique, super-refreshing and a great start to my evening. The short rib entree is probably the best preparation of a short rib I’ve ever had! The meat was so tender and juicy, the fat rendered away - just perfect! Loved the sweet potato accompaniment. FWIW, the Swiss chard was a bit on the cool side - not sure what happened here. Nonetheless, a great entree to welcome the first, frosty days of fall. Daniel did a great job helping me navigate the best dishes on the menu and the perfect wines for each. Love that they feature Old World wines. Great background music too on the old school, vinyl record turntable. Just a lovely evening. Thank you, Note.

A Google search of Harrisburg's best restaurants led us to Note Bistro and Wine Bar. Our phone call from I-78 about 45 minutes away on a Friday evening was warmly received. The host on the phone gladly took our name. We arrive and we've found a lively yet romantically lit space. Our high top table was perfect. The wine and cocktail lists were concise and very well curated. The menu offered a range of small and full sized plates, enough variety for any palate. Our server was attentive and accommodating of our low carb requests. We found the experience delightful. Having not been to Harrisburg before, it makes me want to return to see what else Pennsylvania's capital city has to offer. When we are next in town we'll be sure to visit Note again.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This is a small, cozy and local restaurant. It feels like sitting in someones living room. Make reservations! The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Emailed Ruth for reservations and she was very responsive even though I missed my original reservation, (sorry Ruth). It was pricey but definitely worth it. Great for a date night. No complaints about my experience! I will come again! Something different that made this place stand out, when they bring you the check it’s in a little notebook and you can weite a nice message about your experience. Nice touch. I guess that’s why they call it “Note”.

Lets start with a couple good things. Server was nice and attentive, and the venison steak we got was perfectly cooked. Other than those couple things, this place left a lot to be desired.

Reviews had this place as "cozy" and i couldnt disagree more. First, they had some cheap college curtains at the front door to reduce the draft, so you could barely even tell that was the entrance. As you take your seat it's hard not to notice that you're sitting and what was once somebody's first floor apartment living room...didnt do a great job disguising that.

Drinks were good but pricey. Menu options were hard to devise. Felt like a should've brought a thesaurus along. We settled on an app that was described to us as some sort of bread with all types of cheese cooked into it. Unfortunately what we got tasted like whole wheat dinner rolls with unsalted butter. Split a Venice steak dish with my girlfriend, and again the steak was excellent, but the mustard based sauce it was coated in was terribly overpowering.

Won't be going back there...

I've been to note twice now, and it is definitely our new date spot, which is a big deal since we are a 50 minute drive to get there. Service is excellent. This past time we ended up having the same server, and to our surprise he remembered us. Everything we have had so far has been cooked perfectly, with immaculate presentation. The cocktails we have had have been mixed well, and alcohol forward as they should be. And the creme brulee is the perfect desert. I just realized this past trip that their music selection is all vinyl, and being a collector myself, I truly appreciate the addition of vinyl to the relaxed and casual atmosphere. Another positive aspect for us is the available dogs for adoption on the wall by the restroom. We love rescuing our senior pups, and to see a restaurant take part in helping our animal friends truly means a lot to us. We expect to be back several times this...

I went there for brunch nice environment great service but lack luster food. I ordered the havos bravas which looked fantastic but it ended there, it took to long to come out so wasn't as hot as I would have liked and they sent it out incomplete having to bring out another potched egg, the paprika cream sauce was bland, the bed of arugula added little to the dish and the potatoes where the size of hardboiled eggs so they weren't Krispy enough nor where they cooked all the way through. Also my brothers burger was cooked well done when he asked for medium and his fries where gummie and room temperature because they insisted on bringing everything out at once instead of when the food was ready. The only saving grace was the great service and the fantastic leak soup. I would try there dinner options before making a final decision on this place but the...
