I eat pho pretty regularly atleast once every 2 weeks. I was really starting to like this place. first I asked for more bean sprouts and they charged me for that which was weird then by the end of my meal I needed more broth. I nicely asked the lady at the register to fill this up with just a little more broth. she wanted to charge me $7.10 for broth and bean sprouts… other places i’ve been just gave me a little more broth or just charged me no more then $3.00. I was so shocked. then my friend and I sat there and talked a little long and the little old guy that cleans tables came up and yelled “YOU DONE?” like what lololol…. i’m so sad because I enjoyed this place but don’t think they will get my money. pho la vie allentown boulevard harrisburg pa is so far my fav. y’all should try. doesn’t charge for extra broth either or bean sprouts which they literally give you in the table usually so u don’t understand. now I have nice DRY leftovers. yaya. REPLYING TO COMMENT: NO your dine in bowl isn’t big. you don’t even have a small or large. mind you I don’t even think you guys actually give us double protein. I can almost finish this which is rare for me. pho 99(about 10 min away) I can get almost 2 full meals out off so no you do not have a big bowl at all. i’m sorry love. this is your TO GO bowl. not the bowl you eat in. get what I pay for? I paid $16 for my meal already?? like I said I was willing to pay but almost $10 was a lot in my option for broth. now I have dry pho and no bean sprouts go eat a home. most places do not charge for togo containers.

This was an late lunch/ early dinner on a Saturday and the place was getting busy by 4:30 pm. I suggest preordering online and taking advantage of the online promotions. Freshly renovated, spotless ( including the bathrooms), friendly, knowledgeable owner and staff. This Restaurant takes both credit cards and cash for payments. All food looked fresh and yummy but this is what we had and yes, it was all delicious! The Spring rolls (2) were very tasty but to be honest, my Egg Rolls (3) were the best I ever had! A MUST! We both ordered Pho with Classic broth ( not very spicy) and the broth was insanely delicious! So much so that I regretted not ordering classic broth for home! I had seafood pho with yellow noodles ( wheat) and my friend had the chicken pho. The portions are generous and we both took home containers. You order at the counter, pay, take a number which you place on the table ( if dining in) and a friendly server will bring your order to the table. Unless, of course you prefer to take out. The AMC Midtown Cinema is near by and next time we’ll plan eating here before the movies or after! The Restaurant has its own large parking lot! I absolutely recommend and will be back for those delicious egg rolls and Classic broth and to experiment with more Vietnamese cuisine!

I typically don't give 3 stars unless absolutely needed. I came here because of the high rating but was quite disappointed. It is quite expensive for the value you got. There is no menu, you go to the counter and order. Not a lot of options. We dining in, but the vegetables were placed in a bag like for to go with very little quantity. The fried rice is quite plain. No spoon so we have to ask. Portion is small compared to other Viet restaurants. If you want authentic Viet food then it is not the right place. It will be my first time and my last time.

Garden Vietnamese Restaurant is a nice little spot in mid-town. The food is excellent and I would suggest it, well worth a try. My favs: Pho w/ steak, tendon & tripe. Steamed rice w/ shredded pork, fried egg, grilled pork and pork loaf. and crispy spring rolls w/ peanut sauce. Their weekend specials are good took, it took awhile to get it (they sometimes were out-of-stock), but the Beef Stew is really awesome, the Hue Pho Soup is alright, not my fav. spring rolls are awesome too. this is a long narrow building with a small parking lot next to it that can fit about 10 cars or 8 suvs. has been open since 1999.

This neighborhood used to look so ghetto and shady before they built that HACC campus. There used to be drug dealers and homeless people on the same street. Now you wouldn't even recognize it, compared to what it used to be. the parking is alright, they have a small lot beside the restaurant hat can fit about 10 cars. they also have on-street parking available. If you look at the doorstep is the color of south vietnam's flag.

UPDATE 01-27-08 I haven't been here in about 4 months and their prices really have sky rocketed! small soup price: 5.00 (was 4.50) Large soup price 6.00 (was 5.00) Viet Iced Coffee 2.50 (was 1.75) , Grilled Porkchop 7.25 (was 6.00) I'll admit the portion actually seemed slightly bigger, but holy crap was I upset. since they opened that HACC campus across the street, their prices have risen by at least 35% thats kinda crazy. the food is very good, but the prices are a...
