I placed an order online through the app, and 40 minutes go by and status still shows as “preparing”. I call to see if there’s any issues, and after being handed over to a manager, I am being told their driver called off and so they have to complete their deliveries through DoorDash, and are waiting for someone to pick up and accept my order. The manager had a terrible attitude, and acted as if I was somehow responsible for their lack of preparation for tonight’s service, and is annoyed at me simply asking about the order I paid for.
I then ask if my food was prepared already and they said “yes”. I ask if it would be possible for them to remake it as it wouldn’t be the most pleasant thing to eat food that’s been sitting out for over 50min at this point. She then goes to interrupt me and say “we can cancel it”, to which I agree, and she immediately does and then hangs up. I did call back and express my disappointment with the way this was handled but still, I’m not satisfied.
And so now I’m left wondering: is it my fault that their driver called off? No. Am I trying to be empathetic of the frustrating situation that is not having enough staff? Yes- which is why I called merely requesting an update and trying to work with them to find an appropriate solution. It is RIDICULOUS that knowing they don’t have a delivery driver they still accept delivery orders through the app and also they don’t even think to notify or call those who have placed orders online to let them know of them issue. I truly do believe that had I not called them first, I would’ve been left waiting for my order all night, like a kid staying up on Christmas Eve hoping to catch Santa Claus as he delivers presents, only to discover that he didn’t show up, because Rudolph called off.
I ended up ordering through Dominos and I received my order within 20 minutes. I guess someone did out...
Read moreOrdered pizza for delivery on the app at 5:10 pm. App status said pizza was being prepared for almost an hour and a half. At 6:30 pm, I called the phone number for the store and got a call center instead of the store. Call center said they had to transfer me to the store to check the status of an existing order. I was on hold for 25 minutes before hanging up and trying another phone number. Another call center person answered and said they'd transfer me to the store. I waited on hold another 5 minutes and then decided to drive to the store.
When I arrived, the store was crazy. The woman I talked with said my order had been ready since 5:30 pm and sitting there waiting. She said they didn't know what to do with it (it was clearly delivery, placed through Pizza Hut's app). She said they didn't have a phone number to contact us (it was printed on the middle of the receipt in larger sized font than the rest of the text). She said they couldn't refund my money.
Took the pizza home but it was cold and didn't taste good. My kid refused to eat it.
Wanted to call customer service but there is no phone number for that on the receipt. Calling the number for the store only gets you a call center. Papa Johns still answers their own phones. I'll call them from now on.
Pizza Hut automated their way out of providing any...
Read morePlace an order for the tavern style pizza, show up pay for my pizza and I leave no issues. The service was quite fast in the employee who helped me was quite friendly. I get out to my car and to check the pizza to make sure everything is looking good. Notice that it's not what I was expecting, I pull up the websites and take a look at the pizza described and it's not the tavern style pizza, it's a thin crust pizza. I go back inside and I ask the employee if this is correct, this looks like the thin crust pizza not a tavern style and show her and she tells me that they would normally cut the crust off to make the tavern style pizza. Upon hearing this, I didn't clarify whether it was before or after cooking, I was dumbfounded by that statement. I take the pizza and I leave. The idea that you are cutting pizza off and essentially throwing it away. If this is the common practice for the company, this is a waste and it explains why Pizza Hut really doesn't do that...
