I very rarely ever go here because the prices are a bit much but IDC to pay when I'm craving some shrimp. But today... Yikes. I've mostly had bad experiences here. One time I got Mac and cheese and the sell by time on the bottom was hourssssss ago when they gave it to me so it was pretty dry and nasty but I'm not gonna bash over something little we all have our bad days. Today I went there craving their little cheesecakes and the app had a good deal. The app ended up not working and they only have pies but no problem. I tried to redeem my code at the drive thru but the woman didn't want to mess with it and said I needed to place an order on the app to use it. I read her what it said and she said "so you don't actually have a mobile order." And I apologized because I haven't used it often I was just trying to tell her before I got to the window that I had a coupon. I get to the window and I showed her my coupon and she was very huffy. She left and got my food and when she handed it to me said "nothing popped up" and I'll need to come inside if I want it. (It was use your 300 points for a pie) It's raining. Again had a rough day. I just said it was fine and took my receipt and she said okay and closed the window. The app took my points but I didn't get a pie. She was an older blonde woman. Not very nice. There was no one else in line and a couple other workers were just standing there talking. (Not trying to be that person just meaning maybe someone could help and grab a pie) I'm not paying $13+ for 3 tiny chicken strips and small sides. And Im definetly not going if the workers are rude. Which maybe the small strips were a good thing because I got a "larger" one and it was slimy. The mashed potatoes were good and so was the biscuit so I gave two stars. It's not worth it. It won't let me post a picture but one of my strips was the size of my palm and very thin mostly...
Read morePopeyes has become a reliable stop for a quick and satisfying meal, particularly when that craving for classic Southern fried chicken hits. While there are numerous fast-food options around, Popeyes consistently stands out for its distinct flavor profile and commitment to crispy, juicy chicken.
The star of the show, of course, is the chicken itself. Whether you opt for spicy or mild, the breading is always incredibly crispy and flavorful, providing that perfect textural contrast to the tender, moist meat underneath. Unlike some competitors, Popeyes chicken rarely feels greasy, a testament to their cooking process. The spice level on the "spicy" option is just right – enough to give you a kick without overwhelming your taste buds.
Beyond the chicken, the sides are where Popeyes truly shines. The macaroni and cheese is a personal favorite, offering a cheesy, savory counterpoint to the fried chicken. Their mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy are also a winner, providing a comforting and rich addition to any meal. And let's not forget the biscuits – flaky, buttery, and perfect for soaking up any leftover gravy or simply enjoying on their own. We also love the fries! You cannot complete your order without a delicious, piping hot fried apple pie. They taste as good as Grandma’s, but don’t tell Grandma.
My only minor critique, and this is true for most fast-food establishments, is that pricing can add up if you're ordering for a larger group. However, for the quality and satisfaction you receive, it feels like a fair trade. The bottom line is that whether you at home or traveling Popeyes offers a consistently delicious and comforting experience. It’s always a solid choice. You won't be...
Read moreI’ve gave this place a try about half a dozen times now and every time it gets a little worse. When it takes a fast food restaurant 30 minutes to get your food and 15 minutes to work your through the line when your second in line it’s time for new management. After a 30 minute wait you would think you food would be hot or at least warm but nope they can’t even make that happen for you. Order a 5 chicken tenders, and you end up getting about 2 full pieces of chicken, and the rest of it is strings of breading that looks like they battered a chicken feather. I have went there every day of the week and it doesn’t matter. They will find a way to mess up the order and the sad thing, I order the same thing every time five piece chicken tender, and french fries not a hard one. I’ve got frozen french fries before, Refrigerator temperature chicken. If you can’t do any better than what you do close the doors and let a better restaurant come in to this town. To the own that just replied to my review this wasn’t a one time thing I have been to the restaurant numerous of times with the same experience. I have ate at other Popeyes and had a much better experience with service and the quality of the food not to mention the restaurant was a whole lot cleaner than the one at the Harrison Arkansas location. It narrows down to this one location looks to me like...
