Expensive prices for a darn hot dog. I done cant believe Sam wants 3 dollars for ONE plain old dog when a pack of hot dogs (Oscar myers) is about 2 dollars and 50 cents for EIGHT dogs and a pack of buns is about a dollar at the store. They sell hot dog chili at the store too for an extra 2 dollars. Quality ingredients? Like what ? The hot dog ? What could possibly make these darn tootin' dogs 3 dollars and 19 cents a piece? The bulk buy ain't a good deal if you look at the full picture. Its "cheaper" but it dont mean it justify that 35 dollars for 12 measly dogs. Labor? How hard is it to slap a hot dog on a bun and put toppings? I bet you they wantcha to tip too. No thanks. Buy your dogs at the food lion nearby that is right beside Sams. Its cheaper and tastier. It also won't put ya in debt for a dog. These prices must be for out of towners or jmu kids or maybe city stickers used to paying 5 dollars a dog, not the locals. From one local to another we need to stick together against these...
Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND! Expensive prices for the 12 pack. Do not copy a response saying that the 12 pack is 20% cheaper then an individual hot dog because that is NOT true compared to the orginial price of the 12 pack being 15 or 16 dollars before this INSANE price hike. Now the price is double that. Break down the individual cost of the hot dog to justify 3 dollars and 20 cents BEFORE TAX.
Edit:
The prices before were not decades old prices. They charged you MORE for a hot dog last year than the year BEFORE. How is that decades old prices when it hasnt been a decade since the last price change? The prices were stable UNTIL THIS YEAR. The hot dog price before was not a dollar as previously stated. They were REASONABLY PRICED. $1.79 for a PLAIN hot dog eight years ago then to be charged $1.88 six or so years ago to $2 and change last year to now being $3.19 this year ? That's a steep price jump...
Read moreI didn’t think I would become addicted to these hot dogs, but here I am returning for a third time in just a few days. I got a chili cheese dog with a side of dijon mustard, coleslaw, and some pretty good onion rings for like $6-7!! If I just got the hot dog, it’d be like $2-3 which is such an amazing deal for what they provide. Of course it isn’t a gourmet dog, but so thoroughly impressed for how much they are charging. I really can’t afford much at the moment, but time and time again I’m able to come here for some good protein at a fraction of the price as other restaurants. Highly recommend visiting!! If you get the 6 hot dog pack and split it in half with a friend, you can get 3 good dogs with toppings for $4-5 -...
