All the food and drink we've tried so far has been good. They take care to make their complex 'cocktails' (mocktails) look and taste as fancy as a speciality cocktail. And they really care whether you understand what you are ordering, to make sure it's something you want and will enjoy! (I ordered the Kiev, and they kept checking to make sure I understand it was 'hard' cake, with nuts. I wasn't sure what the problem was ... until I tried to eat it, and got crumbs everywhere. (Maybe it's designed as a sturdy to-go order.) They noticed my plight, cleaned up, and brought us a knife and a new plate, so we could share.) We know that is a lot of food and sweets, but wanted to experience a variety of tastes from their shop. Besides exceeding all our expectations, we learned a bit about Ukranian pastries. The treats were extremely tasty and not overly sweet. They had a wonderful balance of flavors, interesting flavors, and enjoyable texture combinations. And after all was consumed and we were walking away, we realized that even though we had indulged wildly, we did not feel ill for having done so (as opposed to an equivalent American pastry experience).
