Wasted an entire hour at this coffee shop- they have the worst system for orders. They need to fire the tall girl with curly hair/ she worked the register- got my order wrong until i pointed it out- told her THREE times that i don’t want bacon, ok she fixed it- 45 minutes later, what do I receive..a bacon cheddar biscuit. I had to ask for a refund for half my order bc they never made my panini either (waited 50 minutes until i asked for a refund), and when i received my biscuits- found out that it had BACON- I didn’t want to waste another hour for a refund. I had to leave, it was so incredibly frustrating. The only person working there was a young barista with dark hair. I mean seriously- how did i wait 50 minutes for an order and walk away with a cold latte? This was so frustrating, i left the biscuits and croissant at the counter, never received my refund bc the tall register lady was so incredibly slow. SO FRUSTRATING, I don’t think i can ever justify coming back here again, not only did i loose out on 50 minutes, i never received my breakfast/lunch bc they never made it AND got the wrong order. For anyone wondering if they should come here- Don’t, it’s not worth the wait.

Very upset at this coffee shop, was excited bc of the reviews posted. I understand that every restaurant is understaffed, but this issue is a direct reflection of bad management- Bad hire aside, they have the worst process for orders too- two customers ended up taking other customers’ order bc they don’t take names or provide receipts with an order. It’s really not worth it, We were better off going to Magpie diner for a sit down breakfast, would’ve been quicker and less frustrating, and wouldn’t have lost out on...

I do not normally write reviews, but my family and I left so unsatisfied, I feel the need to. We decided to stop at this local coffee shop on the way home from our trip. It had great reviews and seemed like a wonderful cafe. That was not the case today.

The girl up front taking our orders was great and doing a lot of the work making drinks. Our sandwich orders were somehow forgotten and made incorrectly. Croissant on one sandwich was very burned, the other was supposed to be a croissant, but it was a biscuit. We waited quite awhile. My mother in law had a sandwich on a biscuit and it was extremely dry. My goat cheese and tomato on a croissant was pretty good, but that’s hard to mess up.

We had an americano and cappuccino to start with, but they were not great, extremely bitter. I ended up ordering a hot chocolate hoping that would be better. The hot chocolate had a faint chocolate flavor and was watered down.

One of the girls was on her phone texting while the other two employees were working hard trying to get food and drinks out. I hope this wasn’t why our order was forgotten, took so long and was messed up, but seems most likely the reason.

This place has the potential to be amazing, the vibes here seem awesome. I’m not sure if we hit it on a bad day, but our expectations were not great to begin with, which this place did not reach, we left disappointed after spending about $35 for three people. The best thing here I had was the bottled Apple & Eve...

10/10 would NOT recommend! The staff that was at this establishment on 12/22/17 at 1pm was so rude and snobby and lacked basic customer service skills it made me feel very uncomfortable and feel out of place. As my friend wrote in the review they forgot about my Chai Tea. We both waited 30 minutes for a simple panini and salad. I ordered the chicken bacon avocado panini with the side salad. The chicken and bacon were so dry that the bacon might as well have been jerky. When I told them that I never got my chai tea they basically said "oh" and made it. They never apologized for not forgetting about it. The salad looks the exact same as the mixed greens I get from Martin's. I paid $10 for my meal and I could have gone to Chipotle or Greenberry's or Panera for the same price, better food and better service. Also my friend's latte was never announced so she didn't know when her coffee came out until we just saw it sitting on the counter from our seats which resulted in her drinking cold coffee. When she asked about how to order a bigger cup instead of a small cup later on the worker she was talking to was completely rude and disrespectful when answering her. This was my first time coming here and I would never go again. They put shame to calling themselves a...

We walked in and were greeted by the lady who then asked if we know what we wanted. My wife and I had never been here so naturally we did not and we let her know this, and then she said "welcome in". I asked about their coffee and their caramel and they don't have caramel sauce, only flavored syrup, but they have a few housemade sauces including mocha. I regularly order an egg and cheese croissant when I go to a coffee shop with food so my wife and I both ordered one each. The egg and cheese croissant is a egg casserole on what seemed to be an untoasted croissant, but after touching it apparently is slightly toasted. This croissant was the most disappointing croissant I have ever had at any coffee shop in my life...and that's saying something. I ordered the mocha, which I don't normally do, but since they don't have real caramel and this was a homemade sauce I decided to try. The mocha tasted more like hot chocolate than a mocha, and as I'm sitting here writing this review I'm wondering if there was coffee in it. Overall I cannot figure out how this place has such a high rating as maybe this appeals to kids who drink coffee because it's cool and not people who actually enjoy their food and coffee.

Coffee Shop No. 483 Black Sheep Coffee Harrisonburg, VA March 23, 2025 I have a wishlist of towns and coffee shops; some of the places are chosen for their ratings, their location, and others I’ve selected because of their name. This coffee shop mad the list because of their name. Black Sheep Coffee sits on the corner of the historic town of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The coffee shop is bright and open. The baristas were friendly and engaging. The left side of the coffee shop is perfect for groups studying or just hanging out or if you prefer sipping your cortado solo than you can settle into one of the comfy leather wingback chairs. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

The vibes in this coffee shop will make you want to spend more time in a coffee shop. The baristas were incredibly friendly and helpful. The coffee was excellent, they have bags of fresh beans from all over.... if you want a particular region I almost guarantee they have something for you. Also they stock items for home brewing coffee such as pour over set ups, electric kettles and hard to find chemex filters!!!! They sell bags of whole bean and ground coffee, as well as an assortment of made daily pastry and sandwich items.
