I had been looking forward to trying feijoada. Feijoada is a rich and hearty stew of beans and meat, widely considered the national dish of Brazil. While its origins trace back to Portugal, the Brazilian version made with black beans and assorted pork and beef is the most well-known. Mine came with plantains, rice, a green side and a stew of beans and sausage. I did not care for the green side. It had an unpleasant taste. The stew was okay but I expected more beef. The gentleman who took my order also cooked the food. He was very friendly. It took about 15 minutes because everything is freshly made. The plantain was excellent, not greasy and naturally sweet.
