I usually never leave reviews on businesses. But I needed to let this location aware of a few suggestions. Firstly, I am very picky and like a very few selections of drinks. Usually a place will have one or two drinks I'll purchase. At Culver's I would get sweet tea. Second choice a mellow yellow. Im aware a lot of people in Wisconsin arent sweet tea drinkers (not sure why) and I'm sure since most here aren't, almost none of the Culver's employees are then so they would be very unsure what a sweet tea should taste like...or they just don't care to make it correctly. When this location reopened recently, they made the sweet tea pretty decent. (keep in mind a medium is close to $3 and a large is $3+) but the last few months I have tried the tea, doesnt matter what hour of the day it is... I've had the worst $3 drink I've wasted my money on. I do let them know each time that it is terrible and is super watered down if there's any sugar in it at all. They also don't acknowledge I ask every time for extra ice (which I probably have to also pay for) and there's maybe 5 cubes in my cup. I ask for extra since fresh brewed is usually a warm drink till you chill or put ice in it..so half the time I'm drinking it warm and the ice is almost gone before I even get home. (I know lately to try it before I drive off and ask for a mellow yellow since the tea is terrible lately) I am also bringing this to attention because of the very rude denial and arguments I've gotten back from a few employees basically accusing me of lying when I tell them this isn't sweet tea at all, it's mostly water. They really stand by the $3+ warm watered down tea that they likely didn't even taste themselves. I don't know if there is an instruction to make it that the store follows or if they just guess on how it's made? But I'm done with giving them chances to get it right again. I'll get my meals then I'll just have to go somewhere near by for my teas from now on. But when a tea drinker tells the place the sweet tea is hardly tea...they should probably check and see what I mean and not argue with me and not continue making it the same way each time. It's a rip off customers pay for warm water. And stop oversalting the pretzel bites. These pretzel bites are amazing and need little salt on them. Please and...
Read moreNever ever again will I be going to this Culver’s. Had a problem with them before said they would send me coupons in the mail but still did not from several months ago. Tonight I went to get my mom a Turtle Sundae and myself a coke. I arrived around 10:10, got my coke at the window… and was told to pull forward for the sundae… which I understand but it is not like I ordered a bunch of food. No joke… sitting there until 10:30 at this point there is a huge line behind be and the people before me still have not received their food. So they are still taking orders.. but not really fulfilling them. Finally one food runner comes out carrying literally a bag full of food and my turtle sundae.. which mind you is melted at this point. I then call them and ask to speak to a manager. A girl named Natalia answers and I asked if I could speak to the manager she asked why but I just wanted to tell them that this is ridiculous. A minute later she comes back saying hi this is Natalia how can I help you. I said are you the manager she said no..let me give him the phone again indicating she had given him the phone once already and clearly wasn’t willing to speak. I honestly do not even remember the name of the little boy who answered the phone but he told me he was 18 and was filled with disrespect telling me it’s only him in the kitchen and that he is trying his best. Maybe Hartford Culver’s we shouldn’t put 18 year olds in charge of a restaurant. I read all the automated responses also to all these reviews and I don’t even want to here it I don’t want any coupons just know that the team at Hartford...
Read moreSummary: Absolutely awful Culvers location. Avoid if possible.
Food: Standard Culver's fare, burgers, chicken, and ice cream. This location cooks food ok, although it is often clearly been sitting by the time you get it (Dried out, and/or sort of warm to the touch rather than hot). Custard is nearly always poor quality, with ice chunks or the weird yellow version that tastes sort of sour. Custard also has a 50/50 chance of being melted or over-cold (which is super weird to eat) when it gets you.
Service: Wait times are regularly forty minutes in the drive-through, and there is no way to get out of it once you are in it (no passing lane), so plan your time accordingly. I personally have waited multiple times for over a half hour for custard-only orders. Orders are wrong painfully often, so be sure to check your food/custard before you leave the area. Staff will try to fix it....usually they'll get it on the first attempt to fix. Usually.
Atmosphere: Staff are generally friendly. Sadly, due to the above notes, this location has little semblance of a proper Culver's experience.
I've personally tried this location several times now and just can't seem to have a good experience. I know this is not company-wide issue(s), since I've been to a dozen Culver's locations across the state. This one is the worst one I've been to, and frankly ranks below most McDonald's I've experienced. If you must have Culver's, drive to the Jackson location instead. The extra fifteen-ish minutes are worth...
