El Pollo Rico — Restaurant in Hartford

This place is great. Authentic South American cuisine. I believe principally Peruvian.

My wife is from Ecuador(Perus neighboring country) and loves this.

Today I ordered "medio pollo combo", or "half chicken combo"

It was served with fried rice, fries ( similar potatoes that they have in Ecuador) a small salad and half chicken

The chicken is so well seasoned/cooked and the portions are huge, absolutely worth the price.

After sharing this combo with my wife right now, there is still plenty of us to share it...

Tonight I ordered dinner with Doordash and was not disappointed. We got the whole roasted chicken with some plantains, rice with peas, and beans. Also some cakes. It was so delicious. Fed a family of 4 including a picky little man. I will definitely be ordering again to try more off the menu. Dear owner, if you respond , please recommend your favorite dish! Also side note, it was packaged well and was still piping hot...

Went in to try it out, the owner was very friendly and glad to answer any questions you might have. I ordered the ceviche mixto and it was really good, tasted very fresh the squid was cooked perfectly not rubbery at all and the lime juice that marinades it all was seasoned just right.
