20+ years ago there were lines for this place, but it has steadily declined over the years and continues in that direction. Ate there a few weeks ago after the breakfast spot i intended to go to was closed. We were one of the first tables in that morning, so not busy, but the ladies behind the counter seemed more intent on chatting than getting our order together. Case in point, my meal came well before my companion's french toast. We had to ask, did they forget? The waitress assured us no and we had it on the table a moments later- a deeply browned bread with a ring of browned egg around the bottom. Clearly, someone does not know how to make french toast, and had also left it on the grill too long, likely because they were chatting. They attempted to cover this with powdered sugar, but it was far too obvious. Back on my side of the table, the apple walnut pancake I ordered was incredibly bland, like did they even use ripe apples to make it? The home fries, as someone else noted, are seriously lacking in flavor. A far cry from what they once were. General impression is that there is a lack of love/motivation for cooking here, they've maintained a lot of the old menu but...
Read moreMO’s was a place that I loved to eat at. I love supporting small businesses but failed to realize it is now under new management. While drinking coffee and waiting to order I observed the cook training another cook who was cooking pancakes bacon and eggs. The cook who was in training used his bare hands to touch the top of pancakes when flipping them over and used his bare hands again to plate bacon from the stove. No apron and just adjusting his pants and touching food with the same hands. He just kept wiping his jeans as though that is what cleans hands. So disappointed. When I told my waitress she apologized and said they were training the new cook and then went and served that same food to another patron who ordered it. My wife and I paid for our coffee and left. Never to return again. That is nasty and health inspectors should take notice. Not the...
Read moreI visited Mo's for the first time in years. It appears it's under new ownership since I was there last. I ordered a Spanish omelette which came with a sauce. When I asked about that they said it was salsa. When I received it, it was certainly not the salsa that I am used to. It was not diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro,.etc. It was a brown sauce. For the price, it was rather expensive. I think it was three eggs folded like an omelet with nothing inside, not even cheese. They put the sauce on top of it. I was somewhat disappointed. It was not crowded on a Sunday morning. No lines at the front door like they used to be. Maybe it's gone downhill some.
The owner seemed friendly. The server seem to care less and didn't even know what the sauce was on...
