Unfortunately not able to taste the food due to the first impression of the most unprofessional host/server I’ve ever encountered. As most people do, I viewed the menu online and made a call for a Togo order. The person on the phone believed to be Lynn (she may have lied about her name), asked for the order and when we stated wings she interrupted with “you must be looking at the wrong website because we don’t have that”. Our entire office heard this rude exchange due to the phone being on speaker and we informed that we are on the Sorella website. She once again stated very aggressively “No, I know for a fact you aren’t on our website. We don’t have them so you must be looking somewhere else. You’re wrong!” . I tried to ask if there is a more updated menu but she kept going on a rant and mocked us so I politely asked to speak to a manager. Not only was it rude but also gave a racist undertone to mock us in a tone of that manner. She basically made fun of us and kept going with her attitude before we disconnected in disbelief.
Luckily our office is across the street and I decided to speak to a manager rather than deal with the verbal abuse. I printed out the menu and highlighted the option that clearly reads “wings” so a manager can address this repulsive incident. The unprofessional person on the phone must of known she was wrong and told her manager that we cursed at her. So not only did she have unspeakable customer service but she also lied to her manager. It doesn’t seem like her manager will take corrective action due to her being so disinterested which is totally unacceptable but seems to be common at the establishment . Luckily downtown has amazing options such as Salute around the corner and over the last 7 years I’ve never encountered anything like that there. If the customer service is that appalling at Sorella there’s no telling how bad the food may be. Hopefully they can all figure out how to update their menu and hire someone who has the ability to use basic customer service skills and a polite attitude. Thanks for sending the office to the better option...
Read moreI want to thank Sorellas restaurant for everything from the bottom of my heart! I'm a disabled person, and live on a limited budget. And sometimes I cannot afford to eat every day, and one particular one week, I was ill for a few days and hadn't been able to go to any soup kitchens or anywhere I can find a place to eat, because by the time a bus showed up, everywhere was closed. So I called 211 and asked them, and at first, they had no luck either. But I had remembered that sometimes restaurants have either a no pay, or you can volunteer to help out, and pay that way. Well, to my surprise the 211 operator found one not far from me, it was SORELLAS! I had never asked for a hand out for food, and I felt embarrassed of course, but the terrible knot in my tummy from lack of food, kinda pushed me forward in going. I walked in, and realized I was looking pretty disheveled. But I sat down at the greeters station, for maybe 2-3 minutes, and this nice lady (Linda?) I think was her name, came to me and said I have a pizza, and a salad for you, and if you want I can bring you something to drink? I greatfully said yes please, and in a minute flat she came back w/a big refreshing ice cold lemonade! 😃 I asked if it would be ok, if I could sit outside and eat, and she showed me to a table , and I asked how much it all was, and I would come back to pay for the meal, cus I don't like to beg, and I would have money the very next day. She assured me that I wasn't begging, and said no! You don't pay, this is for you. To which I am forever grateful, and have nothing to say about the food, (which was so good) and plenty of! I don't know where to even begin to thank you so much, for your generosity, and kindness!! It will always be remembered! And I promise I will return to dine there when I have money and want to pay it forward, to help someone else who might be hungry like I was that night!! Again, thank you so much for everything!! May GOD watch over you, and your families, and all you've shown kindness to! Sincerely, Pat 😊 P. S. The food was so good! Thank...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I came here for the first time last Friday 8/12 for a 730 reservation. The hostess was very nice and sat us outside. Overall the experience was HORRIBLE. For context, I worked at a busy restaurant for 5 years. Our server John C.(an older white man.) There were three tables outside including us. He barely talked to us, let alone looked our way. At first we didn’t say anything but his 2nd/3rd trip back outside bringing tables their items/ having conversations and we got ignored continuously. But he provided decent customer service to the other two tables. When we finally did get our drinks he threw our straws on the table, and seemed like he couldn’t be bothered. We ordered 2 pizzas (they are on the smaller side) which didn’t come out until almost an hour later. The place wasn’t dead but it didn’t look crazy packed either for the food to take that long. The manager came out and apologized right when we were about to walk out and so we stayed. She brought us our pizza and said she was going to bring us pepper flakes and cheese which she never did. John didn’t even return to the table to ask if our food was ok or if we needed anything. When I spoke to the manager again and told her about the experience with John, she felt dismissive saying “one of the tables are his regulars.” Ok.. and? So because I’m not a regular I don’t deserve somewhat of decent service? She gave us a discount and offered us dessert but at that point we wanted to pay and run out. We were really excited to try this place, the food/ decor was good but John absolutely ruined our date and...
