First, I would like to say that I REALLY wanted to like this place! My daughter even expressed interest in hosting her birthday dinner there! However, I’m so glad we decided to visit before finalizing the event booking.

During the Taste of Hartford, my husband and I had the opportunity to visit this exquisite restaurant. Although it had not yet officially opened for business, its doors were open for tours. The interior was beautifully decorated, and I was immediately impressed. I FaceTimed my daughter, who also fell in love with the unique decor and what seemed to be a promise of a fun filled dining experience.

Dinner reservations were made. Upon our scheduled arrival, I proceeded to the front desk for check-in. The owner and two staff members were present. Despite my attire—jeans, a black tank top, and dressy sandals—I felt an uncomfortable scrutiny. The owner’s assessing gaze didn’t deter me at the time.

One of the initial observations was the choice of background music, which seemed somewhat monotonous. Our server, Makayla (if memory serves correctly), provided exceptional service—friendly and helpful. However, the wait for our food extended to approximately an hour. During this time, the owner made rounds, inquiring about customers experience. Initially, I assumed this was standard practice, but her persistent presence became noticeable. The constant hovering was somewhat uncomfortable after a while.

I requested to keep an extra menu on our table, as we were undecided about placing additional orders. The server agreed, but moments later, the owner retrieved the menu from our table. I explained our intentions to order more, yet she insisted ask for it again when ready.

By this time, my husband, daughter, and son-in-law were experiencing some discomfort, and their preference was to settle the bill promptly and leave.

Following our recent visit, it appears that hosting an event at this establishment requires maintaining a consistently subdued tone.

The proprietor seems to be striving excessively for an upscale ambiance (nothing wrong with that), however, she needs to be a little more mindful of some of her judgmental actions. Also, her frequent hovering, is just a bit much.

This establishment has significant potential, but several improvements are necessary. First and foremost, you should prioritize creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Additionally, if you intend to implement a dress code—such as no jeans—it would be prudent to clearly communicate this policy on your website and during the reservation process.

Wishing you nothing...

Absolutely incredible place! Two weeks ago, I flew up to West Hartford, Connecticut for a company trip—it was my first time visiting the city. On our first night, we enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks with a private bartender in the back of this Hartford-flavored cocktail parlor.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by a hostess. I appreciated how, as soon as you enter the restaurant, there’s someone ready to assist and provide directions. The interior is beautifully designed with custom lights and gold leaf accents on the ceiling and walls. Plus, the location is on a street adorned with beautiful Christmas lights hanging overhead in a tunnel—absolutely gorgeous! Just a tip: when navigating to this place, be sure to check the map and street view to find it easily.

Now onto the food and drinks! We indulged in chicken, a beautiful and large charcuterie cheeseboard, and incredible cocktails crafted by our private bartender. I was impressed by the attention to detail; as I spoke with one of the bartenders, they mentioned adding sesame oil to a lime peel in my drink for enhanced flavor. We also enjoyed specially seasoned and spiced cauliflower, beef sliders, and crab cakes. Out of all the delicious food, my favorite was the roasted chicken with peach gravy—it was absolutely incredible!

At the end of the night, I had the opportunity to meet the owner of the establishment, Miss Dubai. She was extremely kind and generous—a friendly and down-to-earth owner. I was truly pleased with how she carried herself and how she made me and my entire corporate party feel welcome. I will definitely have to come back for more drinks and food the next time...

5 stars across the board. From first glance you are literally WOW’d when you walk in. The hostess was so friendly and immediately greeted me and brought me to my table for my reservation.

My waitress was Abby and she and the hostess definitely added to the dining experience. She was very attentive and provided detailed descriptions of each menu item. She provided her recommendations on each menu category.

My drink, app, entree and dessert were all so good! Usually I don’t order chicken dishes at restaurants because I am worried it will be dry. THIS CHICKEN DINNER WAS SUPERB. The peach gravy was delicious and the chicken was well seasoned and very juicy. It was placed on top of mashed potatoes and veggies.

Also, I LOVE that everything is locally sourced. Farm to table is their motto and you can definitely taste the quality of their meals.

The charcuterie board was a good size enough for 2-4 people. My cocktail was delicious and the dessert was yummy.

I lived in Hartford for a year and I am so happy to see more businesses like this opening on Pratt Street. This restaurant is the perfect place for a date night or after work social hour. The place is MASSIVE with dining seats all the way to the back. I was honestly shocked how big it was once I walked around.

Overall, this place is a HIT and if you are looking for an upscale spot for a celebration they also offer private dining where you can rent out different areas of the restaurant.

Will definitely be returning. Also how can you not love the pink and green decor? So...
