Trumbull Kitchen — Restaurant in Hartford

Decided to try this restaurant last night and should have went with our first pick Feng's Chophouse. Would not recommened from service to quality of food. Party of 5, we skipped apps, dessert, coffee and drinks due to the bad service from the onset. We considered leaving but didn't want to get up and walk out. I would strongly advice anyone not to visit this establishment. They obviously cut corners on costs on quality and portions. They don't even provide Splenda for coffee or Iced Tea which is the #1 artifical sweetener. Why? It's costs a bit more than sweet n low and equal. This is one of our favorite stops when we are in Hartford for an event. The staff are phenomenal. They treat my kid like she’s an adult which includes asking her how she’s doing what she doing in Hartford and they don’t treat her like a little kid while doing it. She even stated the first time we were there that she loved that they talked to her like she was important. It has become a tradition that every time we go to a wolf pack game or any other event at the XL center to go to Trumbull kitchen. The service was good. The food was mixed, some dishes were better than others. The lengua tacos were decent, and the caramelized onions added a nice touch. The Chiang Mai Curried Noodles and Marinated Hanger Steak were my favorites both were very tasty and well seasoned. I'd definitely order them again.👌🏽 Personally, I found the Herb Grilled Skirt Steak too bitter, and the TK Classic Angus Cheeseburger lacked flavor. The fries were good, though.
