The New Bar is a DOWNGRADE! You can't reach the dishes in the back row without bending down and reaching your arm up and UNDERNEATH the LOW LOW plexiglass guard, this can't be more sanitary, a great big BOO to this designer! (I am only 5'3, I imagine more difficult for those taller.) š” My favorite item has been changed, No more breaded deep fried chicken tenders, replaced with preformed chicken nuggets, Boo! š” šWaitress was very nice, Foods I tried and liked: Bacon, Cream Gravy, Buttermilk Pancake with real butter (I requested), Honeydew Melon, Fried Apples, Scrambled Eggs. Biscuit I had was great on the very top and the bottom but the middle was heavy and undercooked, I discarded most of it only eating top and bottom with the cream Gravy that was tasty. š The rice with sausage had only a small amount left and it looked dried up so I didn't take any, but this is usually a good dish. The cubed fried potatoes, nah. šš I wish they had plain fresh strawberries on the bar, what is available is too sweet. Other items I recall seeing on the bar: sausage links and rounds, grits, canned warm mushrooms, salad fixings lettuce, cherry tomatos, sliced cucumbers, pickled beets with onions, purple onion, potato salad, cantaloupe, canned tropical fruit salad with the papaya and pineapple, a spiral type...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to Shoneyās for breakfast following sitting at the Huddle House for 45 minutes to receive an āorderā that wasnāt what I ordered. First, I stood at the see hostess for seating sign only to have a staff member pass me by and ask if I was waiting to be seated. Go figure! Then said staff member waved her finger (index thankfully) āpointing outā where I should seat myself. Not being a student of sign language, I was a bit confused. I was then told by said staff member that I was to sit in a booth in front of the occupied one. I complied with this directions and waited for a menu and to place my drink order. I will admit, I was still a bit hot under the collar regarding my previous experience at the Huddle House. Said staff member stopped by and asked what Iād like to drink and that I could proceed to the buffet. I said, must admit not too polite, that I didnāt want the buffet and I wanted a menu. Shortly after and before I received my beverage or menu, I heard said staff member state loud enough for me to hear āIām gonna start recording people and post it on Facebookā. So, I got up and left before I said something that I didnāt need to. Needless to say, I will not return to Shoneyās in Hartsville ever....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe are regular here, we usually come here on saturday or sunday. Their food is always great and fresh, and have no complains on the waitresses they are very polite. On the other hand, there's one old lady at the bar who brings out the food from the kitchen. She brings out fresh bacon, i was gonna get a bacon but i couldn't find the thong for it so I grabbed the one from the French toast coz i dont want to hold the line behind me, there's too many people there around that time. The old lady looked at me and told me "don't do that." I was confused for a couple of seconds, and when I realized it , she yanked the thong out of my hand slightly hard. Just because i used the thong for the toast to get a bacon, i didn't realize that she was holding the thong for the bacon. I know it's my fault i wasn't paying attention, and I'm willing to apologize if she had just told me instead of yanking the thong out of my hand. I felt disrespected about how she acted towards me. I've seen couples of people not wearing gloves, dropping food on the floor, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she focused her frustration towards me. I won't wish for her to get fired, but try to be nice towards...
