Huddle House — Restaurant in Hartwell

Absolutely terrible service 3/4 times in the last 4 to 5 weeks. First time they weren't even busy and the only time I saw my server was when he took our order. The cook brought out food out and we never got refills. The second time was a little better but not much better. The third time was excellent. I made sure to tell the shift manager that her shift was excellent. I specified her shift. They all worked together and they were fantastic. Yesterday was the first and only time I have ever in 40 years actually walked out of a restaurant. Sat there for exactly 1 hour 4 tables came in after us got there and some had even finished. Several people came in and ordered to go orders waited for them and left. Finally a random guy brought my kids a refill of tea 50 minutes later. I asked for a refill of coffee and he litterly brought me coffee with grounds swimming in it. A ton of grounds it had to be on purpose. There were two cooks the one cook looked at us numerous times and did nothing. After exactly one hour I got up our waitress walked to the register and said can I help you? I said yes I need to pay for two teas we ate leaving. Our food wasn't even on the grill!! The only thing on the grill was 3 pieces of bacon and the cook was taking a to go order. The only thing the waitress had to say was yeah I know. Like what do you mean I know. So you know they arent.cooking our food?! Tried calling the manager no answer as of 9:45 am this morning. This was the shift that worked 4/9/24 6:26pm to 7:26pm if a manager can please contact me. Or the owner for that...

Went for a quick breakfast. It was 7.30 on a Sat morning. Place was packed had to find a seat for ourselves towards the back which is hard to do with a wheelchair. We ordered a special that came with everything including pancakes, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, etc... Then second order was just biscuits and gravy. 15 minutes later our waitress comes back to tell us there are no biscuits in the place what else would Iike or we can wait another 20 minutes for them to come out. I tell her no toast and gravy is fine. I waited long enough. Afterwards we get the ticket and told there is a discount on both breakfast since we both had biscuits and gravy but got toast and gravy instead. But our bill still came out to over $30. Me and my wife came in to eat dinner at about 825 pm., as we waited to be served it was noticed that a female server kissed a male I'm assuming her boyfriend and running her hands through his hair in the dining room, with other customers present. After giving our order it was noticed that the gentleman cooking our food although he had gloves on, they were never changed, touching the handles on the refrigerator, containers and then touching the food he was preparing.After feeling rushed to leave, it was noticed that the female server that was running her hands through the guys hair in the dining room was now preparing food with no gloves. These actions can make people very sick. We have eaten here numerous times and its been great, after the unprofessional actions seen tonight I'm not so sure about...
