The most we have ever paid out of pocket for any doctor visit or urgent care visit. When we spoke to the billing department they advised us that because we had insurance we paid more and if we had not had insurance it would have been $450 cheaper. We asked multiple friends in the medical industry to review the EOB and they too were shocked at what was billed to our insurance and what our out-of-pocket expense turned out to be. Our insurance company also confirmed that this was the highest bill they've seen in quite some time from urgent care. Punished for doing the right thing and having insurance using it here. The lack of communication and exploitation of our family because we have insurance and a health savings account is beyond frustrating. We trusted that providing our payment information up front and insurance information would not cost us extra money, but it turned out to do just that. Our total out of pocket went to over $450 with over $650 billed to the insurance company when simply not having insurance would have cost us $150 for the visit. Even the billing team advised that it's better to not have insurance here. What a broken system. I never leave poor reviews, but this certainly earns one from our family.
Update - you can certainly tell they really care because I stated above that I've contacted the billing department already and their response was to contact the billing...
Read moreOn a sat evening I took my daughter in. She’s 8. They told me she didn’t have a fever. I told them their thermometer wasn’t reliable due dysautonomia issue she has. They argued with me then I checked it with the one in her backpack and she had 101.4 temp. They told me she was fine, she has a respiratory illness everyone around hartwell has. I asked for further testing bc it just didn’t feel right. They sent us home saying she had thrush and this virus and I was just anxious. I went with the anxiety bc she’s medically complex and I’m overprotective. I almost lost her bc I let them gaslight me from my intuition to believing it was anxiety . My daughter was life flighted the next morning, intubated by EMS and spent 10 days on the vent, 15 days in icu with septic shock and TAMOF. They didn’t hesitate to collect the copay and then charge your card $180 2 weeks later. I’ve thought about leaving this review for a month but watching my girl through what she went through bc “it’s anxiety”...
Read moreI was in so much pain with my knees and anmed and medlink wouldn't help me. So I kept on trying to find someone to help me. We went to Peachtree and they were so nice and helpful. They took my information and I wasn't in the waiting room but less than 10 minutes me and my husband were called back the doctor checked my knees and prescribed meds that would help me. And dang if the meds helped. When I went in to Peachtree I could barely walk my knees were hurting that bad. At least now I can walk and not hurt so bad. The doctor even seen my husband checked him out he has hand tremors she was great matter of fact all the staff were great. We are changing out son that has type 1 diabetes from medlink to Peachtree. Keep up the amazing work. And thank you so very very much. Angie, Sam,...
