I asked for the lotus drink with no cookie crumble because I specifically said I have a gluten allergy. I take a sip and notice something crumbly, come back, and the barista said she had put this in there accidentally. It clearly has wheat in the biscoff cookie jar. They offer some gluten free cookies which are nice, but be wary of your drinks or you’ll be glutened….. ☹️one star because they replaced my drink with a regular iced latte, even though I wanted something fancier for what I paid for initially anyway.
—-response to business below—-
I came in and had asked about your gluten free cookies. I then asked there to be no cookie crumble on top on my drink. Maybe you should have put two and two together, and realized there’s a reason for my asking, and ultimately inform your customers what are in the drinks being served. There was no way for me to have known what was in that drink until after I took a sip and had crunchy bits of cookie. Why is there any cookie when I specifically asked for no crumble in my drink? Way to put the onus on the customer when your drinks are not even clearly labeled with an ingredient list in the first place. It’s 2024 and people want to know what they’re consuming. As far as the refund goes, I wasn’t informed at my departure of this either. I was clearly upset and nothing was said beyond “Oops this has wheat in it”. Grow beyond this as a business and begin labeling your menu with more diligence, instead of putting the blame on someone with an autoimmune disease who just wanted a fun...
Read moreOverrated and not worth the price. Spent $31...I ordered via grubhub waited an hour (which is probably Grubhubs fault), but when I finally got the order it was the wrong one. I ordered the H.E.B.L.T with cheese & extra ham and they sent me bacon. The drink was $7.50 (Lotus latte) and it tasted like a regular coffee so I assumed the whole order was wrong. Called grubhub they apologized and refunded me.
A few mins later someone from the store called me to question why I requested a refund. I explained and not only does he NOT apologize for sending the wrong order (altho he basically admitted, he made it ). He began harassing me about the coffee, asking me if I ever had it before because I said it didn't taste like anything that it was supposed to include (I didn't taste hazelnut or lotus cookie). I even had to add my own flavored syrup to make it taste better. He wanted to go back and forth but I hung up because he was close to getting cursed out but it's Sunday so I took the high road 😒. I chose to spend $30 on two items received the wrong thing and you have the audacity to call me and go back and forth? Just take the loss...
Read moreHasbrouck Heights Cafe is an absolute gem! Their croffle sandwiches are a MUST try—I’ve worked my way through most of the menu, and the egg salad croffle is hands down my favorite. I’m dreaming about it now lolll. The warm, flaky croffle paired with that burst of savory flavor 🤌 is to die for. I usually end up taking four more sandwiches home so my family can enjoy a quick, delicious meal too.
On my last visit, the staff recommended the strawberry matcha and it was amazing! The decor and ambiance are super cute, making it such a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy a drink or pastry. I only wish I lived closer, but whenever I’m in the neighborhood visiting a friend, I make it a point to stop by and get my fix.
The team here is always so kind, the service is quick, and the quality is unbeatable. Not only do I love supporting a local business, but the coffee, matcha, pastries, and sandwiches here blow generic chain cafes out of the water. Truly one of my...
