7pm Sept 18th- went in, clearly they had a rush just prior cause they were absolutely low or nothing of the meat, rice and other condiments. I ordered a steak bowl and a chicken bowl. She was able to scoop enough for the chicken bowl, but for the steak bowl she ran out. She knew it was low and said im sorry! Very sweet girl- the difference between the 2 was significant. I said Id wait. Some pink haired girl (I asked, name Kate?) comes out from being in back somewhere- asks why my bowl was sitting there, finds out im waiting and asks why does she want double meat? She says now just a little more. The girl rolls her eyes, takes my bowl, goes in he back and comes back out, same amount and starts just putting stuff on it I had asked for. Im not an idiot- there was literally no more on it, the meat was still cooking. And now all im wondering is like, what did she like do... spit in my food because she thought i was being unreasonable wanting the same amount of meat as the other bowl?? I was fine waiting, no issue at all. I wasnt goong to argue, I paid the full amount, even thou I didnt get what I was paying for, and clearly im not going to eat because who takes your food in back at a Chipolte? I won't eat at this location ever again. This was weird behavior to say the least. I wasnt rude. I live 40 mins away from this location, and my husband loves Chipolte. This is our closest location, so I really didnt mind waiting for it to be right. I honestly dont know what her issue was.im eating at KT gas station instead. So...
Read moreLast 3 visits have not been good. On 2 of the visits I ordered the veggie bowl with the guacamole on the side. The cashier did not place it in the bag and I didn't realize until I got home. I live 40 min from the restaurant and did not want to drive back. Yesterday I ordered dinner for the family in person. There was 1 female working on orders and another at the register. The female maki g my order was having a hard time managing the order so I slowed down and repeated it several times, one item at a time. 1st order was a veggie bowl. They ran out of peppers and onions. Female employee slapped the rice in the bowl, I asked her to drain the liquid from the pico and corn before she placed it in the bowl and she didn't. Food was going all over the counter and into the other food containers because of her slapping the food into the bowl. 2nd order steak bowl. They were out of steak so got barbicoa instead. 3rd order cheese Quesadilla kids meal. The server was distracted so I asked about the Quesadilla and she discovered it was burnt to a crisp. Had to make a new one. Last order was a brisket Quesadilla kids meal. The brisket was overcooked and burnt. I tried to call the restaurant to speak with the manager but they do not accept calls unless you place a new order with the call attendant. I went to the chipotle website but there is no where to provide feedback or request a follow up call. I guess they don't care about...
Read moreI will start this review by mentioning I worked at Chipotle from 2015-2017. I understand what goes into the prep and the experience of serving customers on the line.
I recently moved to Hastings and unfortunately have found this to be the lowest performing Chipotle I have ever visited. Folks on the line are loading half servings (the ladle used to scoop ingredients is one serving, a half or a quarter scoop is unbelievable and likely instructed by this locations management to cut down on what needs prep/to be ordered) into burritos and bowls. Also the balance of spices is completely off. The absence of lime in the white rice made my ($12) burrito extremely plain. Chipotle employees (are meant to) use a cookbook when preparing things like rice, salsa, guac, and meat marinade. This is why most of the time the rice, chicken, and guac taste the same no matter what chain you go to. The Hastings location clearly doesn’t enforce these standards.
Anyways rant over. The standard seems to be low at this location. It is sad and disappointing. And before I get a manager response saying they need to abide by stringent portion sizes, there was a public response from the chipotle CEO about this. Just google chipotle CEO portion Response.
Thanks, go to Cottage Grove if you...
