When I ordered a premium margarita,, on the drink menu it says your choice of tequila, but when I ordered it I got a pre-made margarita mix that had Jose, in it already, so in my mind I think that's a little bit of false advertising, also the server told me my plate was hot and it was cold to the touch, my friends plate was hot for sure, mine certainly not, he acted as if my plate was hot too, but maybe he was lied to by the cook??? The food came out too quickly it seemed like, so I'm suspicious of things being microwaved, if I'm paying 17+ dollars for a burrito, then I fully expect it to be made fully fresh, the chicken and chariso was dry in my burrito, was grilled chicken, Mexican sausage, grilled shrimp, beans and rice, topped with cheese sauce, that was a little false advertising too, cuz I got it with green sauce and red sauce along with chopped cilantro on top, it didn't say anything about the red or green sauce and nothing about cilantro, I've had much better burritos for 10-12 dollars in California on the coast in Monterey that were more fresh and tasty, so the expectation I had for this place left me extremely disappointed, will be trying other places in town, I refuse to let Los margaritas a try tho, I have no desire for any microwaved Mexican food, or any food I'm going to order at any restaurant to be microwaved, if I want microwaved food from a restaurant it'll be my leftovers from the restaurant I originally got...
Read moreSO tasty! Everything I got was brimming with flavor. There wasn't a single thing that was just "meh." Even the salsa was chock-full of flavor with the tiniest kick of spice--not the watered down near-soup most places serve.
The guacamole is not only fresh, but they add something to it to make it creamy, and it's so amazing. I ordered the Shrimp del Diablo with horchata to drink, and both were delightful. A lot of times, Spanish rice at other restaurants can be quite bland, and you have to mix it with your main course to get any flavor out of it, but even the rice here was to die for.
The atmosphere is also quite nice. Don't let it being in a strip mall fool you. As unassuming as it is on the outside, the inside is bright and colorful, and the benches, chairs and tables are all beautiful, unique, hand-painted pieces of art that are really fun to look at while waiting for your food. This is my second time being here, and both times the servers have been very attentive and pleasant, and the food has come out relatively fast.
If there was only one thing that fell slightly short of exceptional, it was that the food came out staggered and one of our party members was waiting for food a good 5 minutes after her rice and beans were brought. Her fajitas came out sizzling, though, so I think they just bring everything out as it's made versus letting it sit under a heat lamp for however long. All in all, we'll...

This is Excelllent thats caps on intentionally (the other typos r real). Every meat I've been served has been perfectly cooked as in $$$$ steak house kind of skill. the Chef sometimes comes out and visits or tells you about some of the unique thing availible like its spinach enchiladas. The white sauce (which i usually dont care for) is has changed my mind. You can even have an Octopus here if you like. One other little detail I must mention, somebody chose too dedicate an entire freezer too drink glasses the Modelo is excelent and you get it in a gigantic frosted mug. I havent tried their Margaritas yet but it seems they are home made and I see them sell allot of them. In the past I spent years scouring Mpls for the best Mexican places and spent thousands of dollars doing it. Don't bother with Mpls. I as i mentioned there is some skill at work here. It is a pet peave of mine that most resturants just over cook their meats, and think nothing of it the fact that the chicken and beef have been done so consistantly correctly is impressive. I scew that up at home and im not cooking for a whole resturant. So good on you whomever ...
