Luly's Kitchen is a hidden gem. I highly recommend eating here. After a church function with my two daughters, we were looking for some place tasty and reasonably priced to have some dinner. Initially we were going to go to a nearby diner, but when pulling into the shopping plaza I noticed Luly's. As it happens I have a friend Luly from New York City, so the name caught my intrigue. Plus, we are a Latino family and enjoy this type of cuisine. We walked in to take a look at the menu and Luly greeted us very warmly and welcoming. I really appreciated this, her making us feel welcome. You can immediately tell Luly is a super-nice person with a big heart. She explained the combo platters on a nicely written and colorful board. She has baked chicken, roasted pork, beef stew, and other platters, served with white or yellow rice (or both), beans, and either a salad or soup. It all looked delicious and everything looked very clean and organized. There is booth style seating, which is fine by me. My daughters had the baked chicken combos with plaintains and I had a mix of the roasted pork and beef stew. It was all very delicious. The beef and pork was tender and very, very tasty. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the salad was crisp and fresh. Everything tasted very fresh which is impressive. My daughters enjoyed everything too and also had the fresh tropical juices. I took a sip, it was like heaven. In summary, very reasonably priced, healthy, fresh and delicious food, terrific service, and a family friendly atmosphere. Luly has created the perfect recipe!! Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I found this authentic restaurant I was so happy. Because it meant that I didnāt have to travel back to the city to grab food. Iāve lived in the area for two years, and this is the only spot Iāll eat from in these suburbs. Other than that I take the drive to the city for good food. Anyway, Iāve been coming here for a while. They are falling off bad! The last 3x I came here, there has been issues with the quality of food & portions. I spend at least $50 or more when I come here. I was here a few weeks ago, the young man forgot my beans for both platters. He was so busy worried about mopping the floors. I couldnāt understand why because there were no customers and they still had an hour left before closing. They give you 10 spoons of rice and 1 little piece of meat. I always get the large platter so I expect meat and rice ratio. I got fried pork, omg I was pissed when I opened it once I got home. Majority of the pieces were not edible. I wish I wouldāve taken pictures. I was so disappointed! Iāve given yāall too many chances, that was the last time for me. The cashier should not be mopping while the store is opened unless there is a spill or just get someone else to do. He is handling food! While waiting for my food to finish up in the back, he began to mop again which made him forget to pack my beans! Close the doors 15 mins before closing if itās that important to get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here a few times and the food is absolutely mouth-watering delicious. No matter what you get, you're going to be impressed. They use a little scale to measure your plate or styrofoam takeaway container to make sure you're getting what you pay for. Speak slowly and clearly so the staff can serve you best. Inside is open atmosphere with plenty of regular pizzeria type tables. Some of the tables have removable chairs to accommodate wheel chairs. If you like bacon then I recommend a half pound of chicharron. They have freshly cooked and simmering ready to go chicken and pork and regular rice and other rice. If you're going to sit down at a table, you pay before you leave. Each table has a number on it. They have delicious desserts in the clear refrigerator behind a counter and they have a silver refrigerator buffet style but refrigerator behind the register filled with potato salad and other stuff. Look on the walls for the deals of the day next to the register. The Wi-Fi code is usually on the wall as well. I recommend that you get food to enjoy at the restaurant with your self or friends or family and make sure you get plenty of food to take home with you for lunches for at work for the rest...
